Reviews for Waterview Bicentennial Park

I'd been attended annual company events at the Waterview conference facilities for 3 years now and have been quite impressed with the way the events were staged. No doubt our event organiser had a lot to do with this, but the way the functions were coordinated was quite impressive. Firstly the location is top class. Situated at one of Bicentennial Park with lovely surrounds and very adequate parking along the streets. Showing up just before sunset with sufficient light to appreciate the garden setting before pre-dinner drinks was an ideal introduction into the main event. The wait staff was attentive and efficient every time and catered to all our requests during the dinner. This was a huge corporate event with about 500 diners each time, with entertainment thrown in, so to be offered great service was quite commendable. The only downside for me was the close proximity of the dining tables to each other, but I suppose with a crowd this size, not a lot could be done with this arrangement in the hall. The quality of food was also worth a mention. Good quality and of a high standard, not far from a 5-star fine dining experience. Being a corporate event, there was no choice of menu but the pre-selection of cuisine was decent enough to satisfy a variety of palates. In summary, I would recommend this venue for a full blown corporate event with the expectation of a high standard of service and food, though I can't comment on a personal dining experience

What a disappointment. What a disgrace. 38 degree weather and no air-conditioner turned on until multiple complaints and I believe some of the guests entering the room/partition next door. Lunch time event. Air conditioning was finally turned on at 12 minutes to 5pm. 80 year old plus guests were sweltering in the heat is unacceptable. Children overheating. Sweat running down people's backs. Guests fanning themselves with what they could find. People struggling to enjoy a dance on the dancefloor and pushing through so they don't further spoil the event. Shame on the management. Various statements made to guests when enquiring about the air conditioning: 'the air-conditioning was on before ...but it got too cold so we switched it off.' 'The air-conditioning IS on but set at 23 degrees and with the people in here is still hot,' 'the air conditioning was not working properly.' And when the air conditioning finally came on before the end of the event one of your staff stated, 'management must have decided to switch it on'. Mind you, the air-conditioning was on...nice and cool and crisp in the unused room/partitioned room right next door. The one I believe runs off the kitchen. The food...the main meal was lovely. Drinks...couldn't get a soft drink without having to seek one out. After so much anticipation for the event, your reception saving some pennies on power really did a lot to destroy any chance of a relaxed and comfortable event. Not at all what I...or we... expected from the Waterview. If it was your own personal event...or if yiu were attending this event, how would you feel? What would you do? I have been to work conferences and a few weddings here. They were decent and enjoyable. Disappointed is an understatement.

A great place to hold a function - conferences, weddings and anything in between. As the name suggests, there is water (in the form of a lake) nearby which is great for photo shoots before or after the function. The food, drinks, service, design and atmosphere are all wonderful and so are the preferred suppliers. Nice central location for guests to travel to from all over town.

Nice atmosphere, but milkshakes too sweet...too much syrup that my son couldn't drink it, and men smoking at the door of the cafe put us off eating/drinking. Not a massive menu.
