Why you'll love this venue

  • Artfully stuffed with Chesterfield couches, antique furniture and refurbished heritage features
  • Perfect for client meetings, team building and networking cocktail functions
  • A thriving hub of intimate private functions
Much to the dismay of gentlemen across this fair city, this former smoking room and chess club is no longer used for either of those activities. To the delight of many others, however, it is now a thriving hub of intimate private functions. The Attic is artfully stuffed with Chesterfield couches, antique furniture and refurbished heritage features. Located on the second floor, the space offers extra privacy from the rest of the venue and a private bar. The room is perfect for client meetings, team building and networking cocktail functions.

Great, friendly atmosphere. Staff are extremely helpful and approachable. Very clean establishment. Food was absolutely delicious 😋. We had the huge schnitzel, burger and crunchy fries special on a Monday. Should have stayed for the life drawing at 5.00pm...maybe next time for sure!!!

Title: A Disastrous Dining Experience Review: I recently had the misfortune of dining at the Art house hotel. Firstly, I ordered the duck breast salad, hoping for a flavorful and well-cooked dish. However, to my dismay, the duck breast was severely undercooked. It was raw in the middle, making it practically inedible. I couldn't believe that such a basic culinary mistake could occur in a supposedly reputable restaurant. If that wasn't enough, our order for sake was met with utter incompetence. We placed the order, only to be informed just two minutes later that they couldn't find it. It was a clear indication of poor organization and lack of attention to detail on the part of the staff. This incident not only wasted our time but also left us feeling frustrated and let down. As if these issues weren't bad enough, the final blow came when we discovered a metal scourer inside the Singapore noodles. This not only posed a serious health risk but also highlighted a severe lack of hygiene and quality control in the kitchen. It's absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant to serve food that contains foreign objects like this. Overall, my experience at the Arthouse hotel was abysmal. The combination of undercooked food, disorganized service, and the presence of a metal scourer in the food left me questioning how this establishment is still in business. It is evident that there are serious issues with the kitchen operations, staff training, and quality control. I strongly advise anyone considering dining at [Restaurant Name] to think twice before doing so. With such glaring flaws in their food preparation and service, it's hard to imagine how they can maintain a loyal customer base. Save your money and your taste buds for a restaurant that takes pride in delivering a quality dining experience, as this one clearly falls short.

Was here for a corporate Christmas event. It had a beautiful interior. Good vibes. Although the food was slow to come out and not served the same on both floors.

The artistic decor of this place is good. A high ceiling with a lot of artwork makes it different to all the other restaurants in the CBD. The food was good too. The lunch time special was reasonable for the ambience. Centrally located very close to QVB and Town Hall station.

We had a catered event on the 4th floor. Alot of stairs to climb as the lift was not well sign posted. The 4th floor room is moody and dark, and anchored by some old photos and a bar. The canapes ordered were substantial and delicious. The men's toilets could do with more maintenance cleaning.
