Much to the dismay of gentlemen across this fair city, this former smoking room and chess club is no longer used for either of those activities. To the delight of many others, however, it is now a thriving hub of intimate private functions....
The Arthouse is our local at work and it's a pretty nice pub. Lunchtime atmosphere is nice, but it's better in the evening, especially with live music. Love the patio! The service is really hit and miss, though- we've ordered together at times and had people wait 20 minutes for their meal or not get it at all (during lunch!). Staff are mostly friendly. The food is quite good for pub fare...and the daily specials are great, wing Wednesdays is a fav.
Love this Sydney CBD hotel! Such a great vibe. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Friday night live music & happy hour is a great way to end the working week & the cocktail selection is extensive! Highly recommend.
Great, friendly atmosphere. Staff are extremely helpful and approachable. Very clean establishment. Food was absolutely delicious 😋. We had the huge schnitzel, burger and crunchy fries special on a Monday. Should have stayed for the life drawing at 5.00pm...maybe next time for sure!!!
Good and bad. Love the fresh air flowing through their spacious Bar but on weekday pumping the music so bloody noisy plus the singer, cannot hear anything my friend waa saying so we just had to leave. Will try their other bars upstairs if any better
Title: A Disastrous Dining Experience Review: I recently had the misfortune of dining at the Art house hotel. Firstly, I ordered the duck breast salad, hoping for a flavorful and well-cooked dish. However, to my dismay, the duck breast was severely undercooked. It was raw in the middle, making it practically inedible. I couldn't believe that such a basic culinary mistake could occur in a supposedly reputable restaurant. If that wasn't enough, our order for sake was met with utter incompetence. We placed the order, only to be informed just two minutes later that they couldn't find it. It was a clear indication of poor organization and lack of attention to detail on the part of the staff. This incident not only wasted our time but also left us feeling frustrated and let down. As if these issues weren't bad enough, the final blow came when we discovered a metal scourer inside the Singapore noodles. This not only posed a serious health risk but also highlighted a severe lack of hygiene and quality control in the kitchen. It's absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant to serve food that contains foreign objects like this. Overall, my experience at the Arthouse hotel was abysmal. The combination of undercooked food, disorganized service, and the presence of a metal scourer in the food left me questioning how this establishment is still in business. It is evident that there are serious issues with the kitchen operations, staff training, and quality control. I strongly advise anyone considering dining at [Restaurant Name] to think twice before doing so. With such glaring flaws in their food preparation and service, it's hard to imagine how they can maintain a loyal customer base. Save your money and your taste buds for a restaurant that takes pride in delivering a quality dining experience, as this one clearly falls short.
