After wandering around the local streets, I stumbled across the ArtHouse Hotel to the sound of some live music and decided to pop in. I ended up in the aptly named Rabbit Hall, part of the Rabbit Bar. The neon sign out the back could do with a rethink — it looks a bit more like it belongs to a strip joint than a bar — but once inside it was a good surprise. I happened to land on Wings Wednesday, which was a win. A quick drink and a plate of wings made for a great quick dinner. The food was tasty and well-priced for what it was, and the drink went down a treat. The atmosphere was warm, if a touch on the dark side, with plenty of charm for anyone who likes historic architecture and old-school style venues. The live music added to the mood, though it wrapped up a little earlier than I would have liked. All in all, a solid spot for a casual feed and a drink with character. Four stars from me.
Such a grand location for a drink and light bite to eat. Was so glad to have walked into this bar. Such a high ceilings and the bar was beautiful. A great place to have a drink with some very beautiful decor to admire around you. We were just leaving as some live music was starting up as we had somewhere else to be - but would love to return and catch the place with some music. We were enjoying this drink in the Rabbit Hole on the ground floor of this establishment. There are other levels to explore. so maybe next time
Great place to enjoy some Asian food with your mates or work colleagues. Quiet on a weekday night . So comfortable. Food is not too expensive and quite ok
A spur of the moment decision to come here for dinner on our girls night out to see a show at The State Theatre just down the road. What an awesome venue in a lovely old building. We all enjoyed our meals while listening to the live music. Very busy for a Wednesday evening.
A hidden gem in the heart of Sydney, ArtHouse Hotel is where classic charm meets modern elegance. The venue is absolutely stunning, with intricate decor, floral installations, and dramatic lighting that sets a luxurious yet welcoming tone. From the whimsical rabbit statue at the entrance to the grand bar area adorned with hanging flowers, every corner is full of character and Instagram-worthy moments. We enjoyed a bottle of Young Poets Pinot Grigio, which was crisp and refreshing, served perfectly chilled. The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made sure our experience was seamless from start to finish. The space is versatile too — whether you’re stopping by for a quiet glass of wine or planning a vibrant evening with friends, ArtHouse delivers. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great drinks in a beautifully curated setting.
