The location is excellent and the room view of the harbor was great. Overall, disappointing customer service especially for $400/500 a night. When we arrived, our room wasn’t ready yet which was understandable due to the early arrival but we were ushered into an “early arrival” lounge that did not have any food but did include self serve coffee and juice. They were adamant we could not go for breakfast that day since we had not yet spent the night (our reservation included breakfast). On this trip alone we’ve stayed at multiple 5 star hotels for less or the same cost and had a much much better experience. I would not recommend this hotel and I will not stay there in future trips.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious with breathtaking views of the harbour. Staff could not be more courteous and welcoming. The club lounge was an amazing experience and Aster at night was something you need to experience.

The view from this hotel is just amazing! Plenty of places to enjoy the view from — the upgraded rooms, the Aster bar on the top floor, the early arrival welcome lounge, and even the gym on the top floor. My favorite thing was the early arrival lounge since my flight got in so early and I got to the hotel around 8 AM, way too early for a standard check-in. However, they had a beautiful lounge with coffee and tea and some snacks for refreshments, and they hold your bags securely so you can relax the lounge or start your day. They texted when my room was ready (early, so nice). The breakfast buffet is definitely worth adding to your stay. They had a huge variety of delicious foods, some cooked to order, as well as fresh pastries, fruits, etc.

I love staying at the Intercontinental Sydney — everything is just done really well. In the rooms, loads of space, bench by the window to take in the sights, the tech is excellent - lights curtains very slick. Access to the exec club means the best views over Sydney harbour, opera house, harbour bridge and botanic gardens. Can’t beat it As a coeliac the breakfasts are brilliant - a level of service I don’t get in many places I love the club room on floor 31 - amazing views and ambience with great service - O feel it’s well worth paying the extra for

We stayed at the InterContinental Sydney for three separate short stays during our recent trip to Australia. The hotel is lovely and in an historic building. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were well appointed with all the amenities you would expect in an upscale hotel. The location is perfect - right across the street from the Botanical Gardens and within walking distance of the Opera House. Circular Quay is two blocks away making public transportation via ferry and/or train very accessible. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sydney.
