Service was quite slack on our recent visit and one which is not usual with this hotel. This is our 4th visit to Peppers Salt and the attention from the staff was very poor. From the outset we requested during the booking (a note was made on the booking form) for the beds in the 2nd bedroom to be single bed configuration. When we got into the room it was one queen bed even though the staff on reception could also see the request was made but nobody bothered to read it. Reception said they would get the beds seperated no problem. After 3 hours we called reception again and after some more time the beds were eventually reconfigured. During the evening we noticed it was getting much cooler and went to look for blankets in the rooms which here wasn't any. We called reception who said some would be sent through. After an hour we went to reception and spoke to the guy who took the call and he said somebody had marked the request as completed but no blankets arrived. Eventually the blankets arrived. When we came to use the shower it was obvisouly not well cleaned after the last guests as the shower floor had broken glass brushed in to the corners which we had to get housekeeping to come and clean which they were shocked in seeing the glass. The lady was lovely and did her very best to clean the shower for us. The final issue we had was when we returned to the car parked in the underground car park the car was absolutely covered in bird droppings. Not just a couple of marks but the entire side of the car was covered. I understand that the birds can't be destroyed but surely you could box in the exposed pipework or put some bird spikes to stop them landing on the pipes. Every single car in the car park was completely covered. Until this issue is resolved we will not be returning to the hotel.

Could not have asked for a better place for some time out and relaxation. The pool is superb, the service was so friendly and we had dinner one night at the onsite restaurant Season's and the food was delicious! Limited menu but SO tasty. Each time we go here we walk away so happy with our stay. Thank you Peppers Salt team for an incredible few days. See you next visit!

Not a bad experience but nothing special either. The rooms are reasonably clean but could do with maintenance and repair. Considering the number of rooms there are very few facilities. Soundproofing is very poor and it was noisy till the early hours of the morning. The location is handy for the beach but otherwise it's quite isolated with a lengthy drive required to find alternative amenities. Very large shower room, smallish bedroom, very comfortable bed. Advertised as 5 star but I'd say it's more like a decent 3 or a poor 4 star.

Such an expensive disappointment. We stayed here 10 years ago and loved it. However it has deteriorated badly since then. Our 2 bedroom apartment absolutely stunk of mould and we couldn’t sit in there for long. The internet was intermittent for TV and the fridge and shower leaked. Kitchen very dated and smelly. Maintenance around the place terrible and no one cleans around the pool all day. There was leftover food, drinks and glassware people had taken to the pool left there all day. Our disposable cup and towel sat in the same spot for 2 days. The restaurant was closed most of the time. The Thursday night we saw it open and there was one couple in the entire restaurant.

I have been reading several quite recent reviews and now quite concerned in advance of our stay next month. We are coming for a family wedding and the reviews indicate a poor customer service attitude and a clear lack of cleanliness both of which we value very highly. Having stayed in other Pepper resorts and had excellent stays, we expect the same standard for our hard earned money, given it is rated at 5 star. I hope we have a better experience than many others recently.
