Reviews for Peppers Salt Resort Spa

Our family of 7 adults and a baby had a joyful and memorable 3 nights stay at the resort. Denise checked us in promptly and assuringly. The large 3-bedroom Spa Suite was sparkling clean and tidy even though lounge sofas and carpet were a little worn looking. Beds were comfy. All electrical equipment and plumbing worked perfectly. We felt completely relaxed . The nearby patrolled beach and walk way bordered by coastal heath trees were most inviting. The beautiful lagoon was great for family enjoyment. Drinks and snacks from the pool bar were nice. This is a large resort requiring constant attention by admin, cleaning and maintenance staff. We very much appreciate their dedicated service.

Lovely place. We always appreciate that they allow us to have an early check in especially with a baby. So thank you. Room is tidy. The place is peaceful and oh, we love the lagoon! We visited twice and we look forward to coming back again.

We stayed for 2 nights for our 21st wedding anniversary and paid nearly $500/night. For this price I would expect hot water for my shower on the morning of our departure but unfortunately it was cold!! Having worked for Sheraton hotels for 13 years in the mid 80s to late 90s, I find it appalling that staff cannot even afford a smile and a hospitality greeting when they are checking you in, when you are asking for assistance or simply walking past you in the corridor! I felt like I was imposing on your staff by simply being there. The breakfast in Seasons was below standard and, again, apart from one friendly staff member, all others were rude and didn’t seem happy being there. We didn’t go to breakfast on the second morning because it was not worth the price. In addition, we went to what was signed as a “heated pool” but it was cold. The contemplation garden needs some of your landscapers to contemplate its existence. The room was comfortable but the “hinterland view” as advertised was a view of the road with associated traffic noise, and neighbouring houses. When we approached the front desk to ask for pool towels we were asked for tokens (which we had not been given), so the staff asked our room number and we were only given towels after the staff checked our record - we felt quite interrogated! The Guest Service Agent who checked us out helped redeem your property somewhat because he smiled and was quite friendly. However, all in all, we will not be visiting Peppers at Salt again.

I’ve stayed at both Peppers and Salt in Kingscliff. Usually I stay because I’m working in the area but I’ve also come back on holiday with my son. The rooms have recently had a refresh and do vary a bit depending on the type of room/apartment you select. The smaller room are quite small but for a couple would be fine and the apartments are great for a family stay. For the ultimate private get away the private plunge pools are great. The checkin experience tonight with Julie was so effortless and friendly. After a long weekend of work she really made me feel welcome. Food is good too.

We booked 4 nights at Salt & Peppers Kingscliff for Easter. It was extremely expensive but thought we would get value for money given the advertising of Salt & Pepper on web site. But we were wrong. We booked a spa suite with pool view. Well our view was a bottle brush tree that looked like it was dying and view was glimpses of pool through tree. The suite had mouldy blinds, no hot water just warm didn’t need to put cold water on. Dated furniture, dirty material lounge. Cockroaches all through the suite at night. Also the restaurants that they suggest to eat out 2 were closed all over Easter. We booked out this morning when asked by a lovely gentleman how was our stay we were very honest. When we mentioned about not a lot of restaurants open his reply was it is Easter. When we went to our car in garage it had bird droppings all over it. So our stay was not good given the money we paid which was $550 a night. Also now I have read reviews all our complaints are exactly the same. My advise to others read reviews before booking.
