No, the Forresters doesn’t refer to one of the families of The Bold and the Beautiful. And if your mind didn’t go in that direction at all, then a hearty congratulations. The Forresters is a popular, hip Surry Hills pub, found on the corner of Riley and Foveaux Streets. First off, the Forresters is brought to you by the same team behind the Abercrombie, the Carrington, and the Flinders. So expect some stylish, young vibes, and good food. In fact, expect some very good food - the offerings here are a lovely notch above the usual pub fare (while still being decidedly casual). The wine list is full of personality, and lots in the way of Italian types. Those with functions in mind are able to use the umbrella room (behind the main bar), the verandah (great when the sun’s out), and the … wait for it … karaoke room. Let that sink in for a sec. Barbeque combined with karaoke. The Forresters pub (and Queenies upstairs) sits on the corner of Riley and Foveaux Streets, Surry Hills. It’s about a ten minute walk away from Central Station.

I hosted my husband’s birthday yesterday at Forrester’s. Sarah and the team are absolutely fantastic! From the moment I enquired, Sarah was happy to answer all of my questions, offered suggestions and was so easy to deal with. The team yesterday were so kind, so efficient and helpful too. All of our guests loved the food, the space and all around just great vibes! I highly recommend Forrester’s for your next event.

Would always bring my friends here for their Monday special $15 steak and chips which are the best! And love their tap beers.  The Christmas yorkie was yummy!

We ordered angus steak medium well done for me and my husband.  My husband got a borderline medium rare to well done and I got medium rare but even if I could only eat the edges of the steak coz I do not like my meat raw and red, it was still alright.  The beans and mash were delish.  The mushroom sauce was savory.  I enjoyed my margarita and my husband loved his beer.  The ambiance was lovely and staff were friendly.

Good was great. Lovely atmosphere. Allow dogs inside. Overall a great place.

We’ve been hunting for the best Sunday Roast in Sydney across various pubs and RSLs and this is by far the best! Called the “Big Yorkie”, it’s a huge plate with the roast meat of the day (today it was pork with crackling), potatoes, carrots, peas and abundance of gravy. I love that they didn’t go shy on the gravy! $35 is not cheap but the portion is so big and tasted so good it was definitely worth it. We also ordered the roast chicken which was tasty and not dry. The $38 steak was small and perhaps more on the average side. Booking in advance is recommended especially if you don’t want to sit on a stool table.

The Forresters Verandah space is next to the beer garden. Proximity to outdoor spaces generally means fresh air abounds, and this Verandah is no exception. Fresh air! Room for hanging out, beer in hand! Good vibes! These are just some things to find in this function space. There's also room for up to 40 guests, FYI.&nbsp;

The Forrester's Umbrella Room is found behind the main bar, which means its proximity to drinks is rated&nbsp;10/10 for awesome closeness. The Umbrella Room is a sun-drenched space. And yes, there are umbrellas involved - this is not a clever, ironic name.&nbsp;The Umbrella Room fits up to 20 guests, so it's good for smaller scale get togethers with friends, end of year parties, and for smaller groups looking for a spot to kick off a night.&nbsp;

Level Two could also be called the Forresters' top room because of the presence of a karaoke space. Seriously, karaoke y'all. Now that is a top room.&nbsp;The Top Room boasts a stage, its own bar, grandstand seating, and a heap of space. It's obviously popular with performances, launches, karaoke (duh), and rowdy celebrations.&nbsp;The space also caters for events like sit-down dinners. And pizza parties.

Level Two 

Forresters in its entirety has a capacity of up to 300 guests. There's the front bar, the umbrella room, the verandah and beer garden, and the upstairs karaoke space (seriously). For office-wide celebrations, large event birthdays, exclusive parties, launches.&nbsp;
