Reviews for The Morrison Bar Oyster Room

We had such a lovely dinner here the first time that we came back for a second time. The food was all delicious. Adan took care of us both times and we were very well taken care of. Special thanks to Robert as well for the generous hospitality. Highly recommend! Thanks from the four ladies 😊

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience because it was genuinely disappointing. The place itself is absolutely beautiful—stylish, with great ambiance and a lot of potential. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from the moment the food arrived. I ordered a burger that looked good at first glance, but the taste was incredibly off. It was so over-salted that I could barely finish a few bites, and it completely ruined the flavor. I also ordered the tartar, which was even worse—something was clearly wrong with it, and I couldn’t eat more than a forkful. Not only was it unappetizing, but a few hours later, I ended up with a pretty bad stomachache, which I can only assume was from the food. That was the final straw. To make matters worse, the bartender was cold and unwelcoming, which only added to the negative experience. It’s genuinely sad to see such a beautifully designed place let down by poor food and even worse service. I really wanted to like this spot, but unfortunately, I won’t be returning—and I wouldn’t recommend it to others until some serious improvements are made.

We stopped for lunch in the city on a rainy Saturday and received a warm welcome. We enjoyed good service from a window seat. I ordered a chicken salad and my husband had the scotch fillet with Paris mash. Both meals were tasty, although a bit more mash with the steak would have been nice. For dessert, we enjoyed profiterols with ice cream and chocolate sauce, which were also scrumptious!

Amazing experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We tried three types of oysters, all impeccably fresh and clean. The steak tartare was delicious, with a hint of mustard that added a nice touch. The creamed spinach was outstanding. The star of the meal was the Wagyu sirloin—perfectly cooked to our request. The fries were crisp and well-fried, but unfortunately, they were overly salted, which took away from the experience.

Not the original spot we were planning to go but this was along the way and had no wait time so we went for it. Inside was dark but seems to be a good spot for groups who just want to have a casual and chill time. And thats just want we did lol. we got mushroom risotto, pork chops, steak and their roughy which were all actually pretty good. The only bummer was that it took quite a bit of time for the food to arrive - the kind where you scan the area to actually look for it and be like “where’s our food??” lol yes it was a noticeable delay but go thing we were not in a rush at all so all was good. and plus the staff that night were very nice!
