One of the more affordable restaurants along this strip of overpriced fancy food places. Got a special opera and dinner with wine deal so it made it very worth while. Ordered the steak medium rare, tasted okay but slightly bit tough and not melt in your mouth texture. Chips tasted like it was refried - hollow and crispy. Air con not that strong so we were very warm, and we were indoors. They keep the doors open on hot days so that added to the warmth. Service was friendly, little rushed but they were busy so understandable.

Long review… we went for lunch & dinner. We recently travelled to Sydney, Australia, which was wonderful! Before the trip I researched different fish that I wanted to try, and came across the barramundi fish. From the reviews, I knew I had to come and taste the fish at the Searock Grill. We decided to enjoy the afternoon sun and fresh air and ate outside. It was a great view of the harbor and of the many, many, people enjoying the afternoon sun. The waitress was subpar. She never asked how the food was or if we wanted more to drink. Other than that, we enjoyed our food. The barramundi was well worth it! The fish was mild, smooth, and flavorful. It was served on top of a bed of greens and radishes. It was grilled to perfection. I asked for a few slices of lemon wedges to add to the flavor. I also ordered the garlic bread which was outstanding and a side of Jasmine rice. The other person ordered a fish sandwich and chips. They said it was really tasty and would order again. They really liked the tartar sauce. They stated the sauce tasted fresh and not commercially produced. The other person ordered the same as me. They too thought it was delicious. The next day, we returned for dinner. We decided to eat inside because it was a little breezy outside. The inside of the restaurant was nice. Clean and comfortable. The restrooms were also clean. The waiter was very personable and delightful. During the first visit we noticed the ribs! I really wanted to try the ribs! But first, the other two persons ordered the chicken sandwich and chips. They enjoyed their sandwiches. They said the chicken had a good flavor, wasn’t dry, and hot temperature wise. Again, just like the first time, I was pleasantly impressed. I ordered a half slab of pork ribs and chips. I also asked for sauce on the side. I was blown away from the taste, flavor, and the tenderness of the ribs. The meat literally fell off the bones. The ribs were seasoned very well. The sauce was also delicious. The sauce wasn’t too thick nor watery. It really had a very good flavor. If you’re a rib lover like me, I highly recommend you try the pork ribs and the restaurant!

Excellent food with a great view of harbour and just 1 minute walk to opera house. Food was tasty very fresh and quick service. Got a free drink with our meal was great value for the seafood platter,- my favorite meal in Sydney!!!

We had the sharing seafood platter. Scallops were missing (no explanation given).... Restaurant doing a deal that if you order a main you get a beer or wine. When placing order, we asked for 1 wine and 1 beer. Were charged for both, took quite an argument to get them taken off the bill. Great setting, but brave yourself for 'just about adequate'. Also charged an extra 10% weekend surcharge.... Wasn't advertised anywhere! So.....Overpriced as well!

Great location, easy to get, excellent service and delicious food!! We had a lunch event in the private dining room in Searock Grill. The service team went above and beyond to cater for our every needs ranging from room set ups, meal preferences and dietary requirements. Everyone enjoyed their food. Mains were delicious. We've had rib eye steak, seafood curry and the grilled barramundi. All cooked to perfection! Side chips were hot and crunchy and the salads were crisp and fresh. Desserts were great too. The drink menu was extensive and very reasonably priced. Everything was on the point 👍 If you are looking for a private or group dining venue, this place would be an excellent choice.
