Dined at Fasnidge, but no Colin. Small menu, meals looked simple but well executed. We had the potato scallops and wings for entree. Then the specials of prawn papadelle and pork belly with a side cos salad. Teamed it with half price cocktails. The staff are really lovely.

Really enjoyed our visit to The Castlereagh our time was warm and accommodating. We love sitting with the fairy lights on the patio and we really appreciated the intimate and cozy atmosphere. The staff were delightful and so friendly. The food menu is good. The croquettes were great, the sausage roll was delicious (we are familiar with Colin’s recipe), and the wings were spot on perfect. We loved the Sunday Roast too. The exception was with the steak we ordered; it was cooked too well and not to our taste. Overall however, we enjoyed the night. Reasonably priced too, a meal here won’t break the bank and is very suitable for a cozy night out or with a group of friends for drinks.

We went in for there $15 meal deal, 3 options, for us the most appealing was the chicken burger, being from Melbourne we held little hope, but was amazed at the quality, the chicken was amazingly hot and tender, the fries were hot and the service was spot on, it included a drink, beer, wine, softy. And then went to the bar as they'd advertised outside 49% off drinks, again expecting over inflation to compensate for a decent margin, but wow nope $6 a pint even there too end cocktails came in at a mere $8, both me and the bartender, lovely lady actually laughed at the price, had I not been recovering from Christmas I'd have sat there all day and probably found it hard to spend $50. Get involved people it's till the end of Jan, the bar area is amazing, flash, and what I'd have expected to be one of Sydney's high end bars. Worth every mere cent.

We were well looked after ny all staff. However, the menu was very disappointing - it is very limited. Also, 2 of the 3 red wines I ordered were unavailable - we need to do better with this. Overall - still enjoyable

This venue was the perfect spot for a bottomless brunch. It’s got the warmth of your local pub, with a restaurant quality menu. The venue was also decorated for WorldPride and the ambiance was amazing, as we dined on the day of the Mardi Gras parade. What we ate: • Citrus Cured Salmon, Pickled Cucumber & Sorrel Dressing • Baked Market Fish, Fennel, Tomato Ragu, Capsicum & Black Olive • Confit Duck Maryland, White Bean Cassoulet Crispy Kale & Jus • Farfalle Pesto, Spring Greens, Ricotta & Parmesan • Ice Cream Sandwich & Dulce De Leche (as part of the regular menu) Although the oysters were unavailable, the olives and bread were a great substitute. And of course, the drinks were the cherry on top. The Blood Orange Gin & Tonic was so refreshing! [invite]
