I always told myself, “Next time, I’ll try this place!” every time I walked by—and today, I finally did! (Well, I live just upstairs, so no more excuses!) I grabbed a takeaway to enjoy at home, and wow, I’m so glad I did. The staff were super friendly and patient, happily answering all my questions. They’ve got great value lunch and dinner sets, and the place is really clean and cozy too! I went for the $15 lunch steak set, and honestly—it blew me away. It’s hard to find this kind of value in the city! Eating such a satisfying lunch at home seriously made my day. This place just became my new go-to spot. I’ll definitely be back—and if you’re reading this, don’t miss out! Huge thanks to the team for such a tasty lunch and a great experience! Next time I come, I will definitely eat in.😋😋😋

The starters were tasty and affordable. My vegan colleagues told me the tacos were good. The only downside was that my steak was not cooked medium. It was more like, well done. Great spot for team lunches. Would come back here and try other items.

Great Tuesday Sandwich & Excellent Service! I visited Kent St. Hotel on a Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised by their special sandwich—absolutely delicious! The price was very good. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a spot worth checking out, especially on Tuesdays!

The food was great! We ordered a steak sandwich and a steak with mash and veg. The beer was served correctly and we were happy to find Somesby super crisp on tap. The staff were friendly and kind, both at the bar and in the gaming room. We will definitely be back, great prices and good service!

The Kent Street Hotel does good pub food. The pub is located at street level, about a 5 minute walk from Town Hall Station. We came here for the $15 steak special as we were recommended by another family member to do so. It was a good meal. The steak was cooked well to each of our preferences. You could taste the charred flavour from the grill. There is a choice of sauce to go with the steak. I liked that it was in a side container and not poured directly onto the steak. That way the chips stayed nice and crispy. Everything was well seasoned. The steak and chips were a good temperature. There was a generous serve of mixed leaf salad with dressing. The plate was well presented too. Service was good and couldn't be faulted. We were given a friendly greeting on arrival. Staff were upbeat, friendly, helpful and courteous. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Staff also let us sit and chat and didn't hurry us to leave which I appreciated. The pub has a good vibe. The colour scheme is good. There is a mix of high stools, tables and chairs and lounge type seating. This pub is a good find and I would recommend coming. I am keen to try the other daily specials!
