We were very happy during our stay here. The room was spotless and spacious with small living area with sofa bed and a great bathroom. The bed and room facilities were great. We had the opera house view and access to horizon club for Breakfast’s, afternoon tea and evening canapés which was great. The location is walking distance to all major attractions and the mall is about 10-15 minutes walk away through the beautiful city. Highly recommended.

We recently stayed at this hotel, and while there were a few hiccups during our check-in, the overall experience was positive. When we first arrived, our room wasn't ready, and we had to follow up multiple times. However, the last staff who assisted us quickly responded, especially after noticing my frustration with traveling with a baby. To our pleasant surprise, they upgraded our room, which was a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. If you're reading this, Nora (Sonora), thank you so much for your warm assistance. You definitely made our day brighter especially in this humid weather! The staff throughout our stay were exceptional—courteous, friendly, and attentive. Breakfast at Cafe Mix was fantastic, offering a variety of options that were perfect for families with young children. Our baby made a bit of a mess during breakfast, but the staff were incredibly understanding and insisted that we didn’t need to clean up ourselves. They were happy to help, which made our experience even more relaxing. The hotel is in a great location, close to popular attractions. We were pleased to find that the area around The Rocks now has lifts available, making it easy to get around with a pram, which was a new and convenient discovery for us. Overall, despite the initial delay with our room, we had a wonderful stay, thanks to the friendly and attentive staff, the great location, and the family-friendly atmosphere. We left with smiles and would definitely return.

Claire is incredibly nice, warm, supportive, helpful, efficient... well I am almost running out of beautiful adjectives to compliment her. Even though our booking took place during Australia Day event, she helped us to get the room with best view possible, made our transition between two bookings as smooth as possible and gave us as much information as possible. I would say she deserved a 6 star. Regarding to other things, the hotel's view is great but the on-top-of-the-hill location is not the optimal one. Its room also understandably showed some age as Shangri-La Sydney was built in the 1990s and the breakfast can certainly be better. Still, Claire has provided us the best experience ever when checking in a hotel and I decide to give the hotel a overall 5-star assessment (I must say that other check in agents are also very efficient and professional as well).

210 per head for an all you can eat Christmas dinner at this restaurant last December 2024. Booked for 5 pax. Food served fresh and warm. Various selection — seafood was great aside from the yummy desserts (a must!). Drinks not included in the buffet.. drinks starts at 8 dollars to 16 to a hundred bucks for those aged wine. I would highly recommend if you can afford to try this place. Due to high foot traffic people are included in the photo. May take down photos if owners aren’t happy for their photos posted. Personally would like to public legit experience and food review / service for this establishment.

Outstanding staff and exceptional service at this hotel! The front desk lady in the red jacket (I regret not asking for her name) was particularly remarkable - she provided warm, attentive, and genuinely caring service throughout our stay. Her bright smile and helpful demeanor made us feel truly welcomed. What impressed me most was that every single staff member we encountered displayed the same level of kindness and professionalism. From the housekeeping team to the restaurant staff, everyone had this wonderful combination of being both highly professional and genuinely warm-hearted. Their natural friendliness and sincere desire to help guests created such a welcoming atmosphere. It's rare to find a hotel where the entire team consistently delivers such excellent service with authentic kindness. This level of genuine hospitality really enhanced our stay and left a lasting positive impression. Special appreciation to the lady in the red jacket - your dedication to guest service is exemplary!
