Most of the staff were helpful. However, one morning we ordered breakfast from your a la carte menu and had to wait for one hour before food came out. And I wanted to order something from kids menu for my nephews, staff advised that menu is available only from 11 am. I’m from Hospitality also and I noticed that majority of your guests was families with kids. I recommend to have few options on your a la carte breakfast menu for kids too. Then housekeeping was not done properly on a couple of days during my stay. Such as changing bed linen with clean ones, my duvet was covered only from one side when I checked in, replacing amenities, refilling liquid soap and so on. Apart from these things, my overall stay was good and relaxing. Thanks to all the staff who tried to made it better! Special mention to Luka who was really helpful with the luggages…

I had the privilege of attending a Mercure, Dreamworld, BeChallenged, and Architects of Vibe showcase over the weekend — and to say I was blown away is an understatement. From the moment we arrived to having our luggage delivered to the car after our extended stay, the service and attention to detail made us feel like absolute VIPs. It was the perfect opportunity to relax, connect, and experience just some of the incredible things the region has to offer. The teams worked seamlessly together to create an experience that will be talked about for years to come. The hotel truly has something for everyone — from corporates and golf enthusiasts to families and those simply wanting to unwind — all just moments from the stunning Gold Coast beaches and entertainment precinct without being in the hustle and bustle. Spacious rooms, beautiful surroundings, multiple pools, light-filled meeting spaces, a tennis court, and golf course access all add to the appeal. The food and cocktails were another standout, with the Chef’s Table experience being a highlight for everyone who attended. Watching the chef and team work in front of us to create a delicious feast was truly special — and there wasn’t a dish I didn’t go back for seconds! The hotel’s sustainability focus is also to be commended. From harvesting 70% of herbs from the onsite garden to reusing orange peels and pineapple skins from the breakfast buffet to craft marmalade cookies and a house-brewed health tonic, we were genuinely impressed. A huge thank you to Briony and the incredible team for looking after us so well. From small to large events, you can relax knowing your guests will walk away with lasting memories and an experience that exceeds expectations.

Our stay at the Mercury Hotel was made truly special by the wonderful dining experience at their restaurant. It was a peaceful and beautiful setting, The food was absolutely spectacular, especially the breakfast! Simple dishes like spinach were transformed into something extraordinary. What really stood out was the exceptional customer service provided by Rafael. His professionalism and attentiveness made our experience even more enjoyable since check in . Great service can elevate a stay, and Rafael truly exemplified this with his warm and helpful demeanor. If you’re looking for a place that not only offers fantastic food but also values outstanding service, the restaurant at Mercury Hotel is a must-visit, especially thanks to Rafael! This occasion was Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price **Failed basic expectations I paid a premium rate expecting comfort and cleanliness, but got: * A wet, smelly bed with dead ants * Slow service and communication * Faulty shower and toilet * Dusty phone * slow wifi I booked a Classic King Room at Mercure, thinking it would be a nice treat for special occasion. Unfortunately, this stay has been one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. When I first sat on the bed, it felt damp — then I realised my clothes were actually wet. There were dead ants between the blanket and the bed, and the bed smelled unpleasant, as my son immediately commented. I have no idea what kind of fluid was on the bed, but it had soaked through the mattress protector. I called reception, and it took 30 minutes for housekeeping to arrive. The housekeeper came alone to deal with a king bed, so I had to help her move it myself. I called reception again several times about the situation — once I was on hold for over 5 minutes before the line cut off. The room phone was dusty, and honestly, I didn’t even want to touch it. One thing after another, one of the keycards didn’t work, and the housekeeper forgot to take the dirty sheets away, so my son had to find her to hand them over. The bathroom wasn’t much better. The toilet kept flushing all night, so we had to keep the bathroom door shut and the shower didn’t work properly — I had to hold a small lever in place just to get water from the showerhead instead of the bath tap. It kept switching back with a loud bang that startled both me and my son. The drainage was poor, and soap bubbles quickly built up on the floor. I booked this stay to relax and enjoy my birthday, but instead I spent the whole afternoon dealing with these issues. The pool has styrofoam floating around. Looks like it leaked from one of the floating beds. I initially asked the evening manager for a partial refund, but he advised the maximum they could offer was $120. The next morning, I spoke with Sofie, the day-shift manager, who was very understanding and sympathetic. She processed a full refund for everything we paid. At a very least, something good comes out of it. We didn’t have to pay for a stressful experience.

I recently enjoyed a stay at the Mercure Gold Coast Resort and was absolutely blown away by the quality of the experience, especially their dedication to their pet-friendly program. Travelling with my dog is often a challenge, but the Mercure makes it feel seamless and luxurious. The dog-friendly rooms are truly exceptional. They are strategically located on the ground floor with a private courtyard and direct access to the resort’s beautiful walking areas, making those early morning and late-night potty breaks effortless. Beyond the convenience, the room itself was incredibly clean and comfortable. The bedding was plush, the space was immaculate, and it genuinely felt like a haven for both my pet and me. They even provide thoughtful touches like a dog bed, food bowls, and a welcome pack! The positive experience extended far beyond the room. Dining at the on-site restaurant, The Green Dining, was an absolute delight. The food was simply delicious, featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients that highlighted their garden-to-plate philosophy. Finally, the entire staff was amazing and incredibly friendly. From check-in to check-out, every member of the team made us feel welcome, not just as guests, but as family. Their warm, professional, and genuinely helpful attitude truly elevated the entire stay. If you are looking for a resort where you don't have to compromise on comfort, cleanliness, or culinary excellence when travelling with your furry friend, the Gold Coast Mercure is the perfect choice. We can't wait to return!
