Reviews for InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort

Excellent resort to relax although can be a bit hectic during school holidays with lots of children in the pools. The bar area at the pool serves excellent food and drinks and the staff in all areas of the resort are friendly and efficient. The room we stayed in was refurbished in Hamptons styling and was very refreshing and welcoming to come back to after a hot day in the sun. The resort facilities are excellent. Good bars, restaurant and 2 pool areas. One is set up like a beach pool.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and all staff were amazing and professional. Room was great and spacious as well as being very clean. Grounds were well maintained.Points I thought could be improved were mosquitoes in the room. We killed plenty and were bitten. Pillows were way too soft, and if staying longer I would have asked for a different pillow. I understand this is an older resort, however this is definitely not wheelchair accessible, so you are limiting customers. I use a walking stick and managed most areas.

"My recent stay at Century Cove Gold Coast Hotel during the New Year's night was marred by a series of disappointing events, particularly at the pool bar. The evening took a turn for the worse when a fight broke out, and despite the severity of the situation, the security team's response time was unacceptably slow, leaving guests feeling unsafe and unattended for an extended period. To add to the disappointment, as the rain started, the hotel made the surprising decision to shut down the music, depriving guests of the festive atmosphere that they had anticipated for New Year's celebrations. This lack of contingency planning and customer consideration is unacceptable for a supposedly high-end establishment. In an attempt to salvage the atmosphere, fellow guests were left to provide their own music, which is simply outrageous for a hotel of this caliber. Furthermore, the aftermath of the storm revealed a lack of preparedness and care, with poor cleanup leaving puddles all over walkways and an overall sense of neglect. The dated condition of the rooms only compounded the negative experience, and it was evident that the hotel is in need of significant refurbishment to meet the standards expected of a five-star establishment. The most disappointing aspect, however, was the attitude and behavior of the hotel staff. Their rudeness and apparent lack of training were glaring, and it was evident that the level of service fell far short of what one would expect from a reputed hotel. In conclusion, my experience at Century Cove Gold Coast Hotel was far from satisfactory, and I cannot in good conscience recommend it as a five-star establishment. The management should take serious steps to address these issues and ensure that future guests do not encounter similar disappointments." It's important to provide honest feedback when reviewing a hotel so that the management can address the issues and make improvements for future guests

Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Ferocious storms both days so Lagoon closed. Dispointing but you can't help Mother Nature. Pool was just as lovely if not a bit busy. But we managed to score a cabana. Service at this hotel is spot on. Location is brilliant. We did a Christmas Eve present giving in our room with more than enough room for 7 adults and a child. Rooms are well appointed and five star touches. Food everywhere is delightful. Just am exceptional resort worth every penny to stay.

Kids had a great time swimming in the huge pool and loved waking up to kangaroos outside our room. Fantastic buffet breakfast and great food and drink options within the hotel. Complimentary golf cart pickup when you head out for dinner and drinks also a huge plus!
