Re/Max Australia are in a class of their own, I have been in real estate for nearly 15 years and I have never come across a company that cares about their staff and clients as much as this company does. Mr Simon Withers The Business Growth Manager is one of the best managers I have come across . His professional charm and abundance of knowledge about the industry is truly amazing and very inspiring. Mr Withers is a walking encyclopaedia of knowledge about Real Estate.

I had a terrible experience working for Remax/Advaced Bribie Island. Ive been in Direct Sales and Marketing for 10 years and wanted to delve into real estate as a career path. From day one I was confused as to what my actual role was and after asking carefully if I was in a sales role or not I was told by the Principle this exact statement, "Max if you were applying for a sales position I would of never hired you, your not a salesman". David Weresckuk directly told me to my face that Real Estate is only about making money and we don't "genuinely" care about our clients personal needs and welfare. I was treated absolutely disgustingly and was fired by unfair dismissal due to another staff member lying about my actions and words. It really did leave a sour taste in my mouth about Real Estate in General. But now I know its just the brand, not the industry. Which unfortunately this effects all of Re/Max not just this agency. I'm so grateful I didn't give up and looked else where. I'm now in a team that is fully allowing me to spread my wings. I know what my role is, I know the challenges and I now have a clear Commission/ Pay structure that motivates me to list and sell!. David, if you read this please understand this is not personal it is just the repercussions from the way I was treated in your team by you directly and few staff members. I certainly feel it left an imprint on my life that ill never forget and when I run my very own Real Estate Business, Which I certainly will it will be nothing like the way you run yours. Real Estate is not Dog eat dog as I believe there is enough for all the prestige agents to make a dollar. What I saw was Dog Eat Dog and not from the property market and other agencies but dog eat dog within your office. Because I was the new guy I was dismissed, there's absolutely no other reason to it. David, firing me made you loose a HUGE asset to your business as I'm a very loyal and hard worker, I strongly believe you underestimated me. My final statement is this David, I do truly and genuinely care about my clients needs and wellbeing. The sales process from the second you meet your client to 10 years down the track when your sending anniversaries, My clients are my friends and I'll always have their best interest in mind when undertaking duties for them. Money should never be the focus but only the reward for servicing valued client's. So please, If you ever have a new and keen young guy start in your team, motivate them don't drag them down. Show them things, lead by example and teach them good habits don't make them feel like a piece of dirt under your shoe. Shout out to Claire Uttley and Karl Osswald for seeing potential in me and spending time with me one on one to give me a head start in Real Estate. Both such great humans and would happily work with either 2 at any given time ! Merry Christmas, Regards Max Forster

Stephen Wright Hervey Bay RE-MAX. Stephen Wright came recommended to us as a good salesperson who had made many recent sales in the area. Unfortunately that was not our experience at all. Stephen Did get the sale organised, however from that point on I felt as if he was working for the buyers and the rental property manager who was to manage the property post sale. In all honesty avoid this guy at all costs. There are honest agents out there who will work hard for you the seller. Stephen is not one of them. I would like to put this review on the "Rate My Agent" but I doubt Stephen Wright will list my property on there as one of his sales. The post sale property manager had arranged with Stephen Wright to take people through the property after the inspection and they had brought with them boxes of personal effects that they intended to leave at the property without my knowledge. Fortunately I was still at the home when the renters walked up and informed me they were there for a pre-arranged appointment with the Clair from Vision Property mangement (the property manager) to inspect the property. Obviously this was a surprise to me. The property manger was then strongly advised to leave the property and not return until it is owned by the buyer. This was far from a good process from start to finish. Selling your parents home after they pass away in order to finalise their estate is not fun. It is emotional and stressful at best and dealing with Stephen Wright only added to that stress. My lack of knowledge about body corporate issues caused the wrong contract to be used to arrange the sale. Im sure Stephen Wright will comment on this in response to this review, but in all honesty, if he had been a competent agent he would have advised me better and checked on the status of the property. He does after all put himself out there as an expert real estate agent and still failed to provide good advice on this issue. Please find another agent to help you with your property. Don't use Stephen Wright.
