We had a team lunch at Richmond Hotel (Rundle Mall), which was booked a week in advance. Despite the prior booking, a couple of our team members were told—after everyone else was served—that the food had run out. How does that even happen at 12 PM when our table was booked for that exact time? When we raised the issue, all we got was a casual “sorry” with no explanation or accountability. We asked to speak with the manager, only to be told she was sitting at a table working on her laptop—and she outright refused to speak to us. That’s beyond unprofessional and completely unacceptable. What kind of manager refuses to address a valid customer concern? If they had at least called us earlier in the day to advise that a specific item wasn’t available, we could have made alternate arrangements. But we were left in the dark until it was too late. Terrible service, zero responsibility, and a total lack of basic customer courtesy. Worst experience we've had in a long time. I would strongly not recommend booking this place for any group or event. I'm writing this as part of the message as a response to the comment made as reply stating there was no manager on roster. To be clear, the guy at the counter who also had a bad attitude pointed us to a lady sitting on the table with her laptop and headphones. He said she was the manager. I asked him to please call her and when he tried she apparently said she can't talk now as she is busy. I can get my team to confirm as I wasn't alone who experienced or heard this.

Bar staff- one staff fun & made experience enjoyable, other staff member over charged drinks & had a bad attitude. Left because of it. Now our table's mood changed because of her disgusting attitude as some didnt want to give hotel anymore cash to order food & drinks. Big lost to you. Gather round hope other hotels make visiting more welcoming.

The staff in the accommodation were super helpful and friendly with our whole experience. The staff upstairs balcony was on her phone so we did not stay for a drink, we popped downstairs and enjoyed a drink in gaming bar which was okay but lacked the atmosphere of the lovely upstairs balcony bar. Rooms are very roomy, bed was super comfortable, the key pad took a while to press in all the numbers. Good selection of tea and coffee. Bar fridge door does get hooked on inside cupboard hinge so was open and not cold when we got our room. Biggest downside was the cleanliness of the bathroom flood, not swept or mopped. In terms of hygiene in bathroom a let down. Overall a good stay would stay again

Very clean, perfect location right in the city centre. Tea and coffee provided in the room, and shampoo and conditioner, which was great for my luggage limit.

We had some initial issues during our stay at the Richmond Hotel, but the manager handled everything proactively and professionally, which we truly appreciated. Their prompt resolution and attention to our concerns made a huge difference and turned a stressful situation into a positive experience. It's clear that guest satisfaction is a priority here, and we were impressed by their professionalism. Thank you for taking care of us so well!
