This was our first experience here, and it was absolutely amazing. There is nothing I can complain about, as everything, from service to staff to atmosphere to food, was perfect. We had cucumber salad, chicken, beef, and octopus skewers, plus fillet scotch stew. Everything was equally beautiful and tasty. We definitely would come back and recommend it to everyone.

It was my wife’s birthday, and we decided to dine at Casa Chino. My friend, who works there, had been inviting me for a while she was really proud of the food they make. So, we finally gave it a go. Casa Chino is an Asian-Latin fusion restaurant, just a short tram ride from the CBD. As soon as we sat down, the vibe felt familiar and homey. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. For starters, we ordered the lamb riblets wow. The lamb was incredibly succulent and tender, glazed with a honey soy sauce that was pure umami heaven. I loved that the honey wasn’t overpowering; it blended perfectly with the salty richness of the soy. There was a hint of cumin and the freshness of mint that kept it from feeling heavy on the palate. The lamb was crispy, the fat just melted in your mouth We also got the chicken wings and holy shit, they were amazing. Perfectly crunchy, juicy, and served with a chipotle and black vinegar dressing. It was so good I literally wanted to choke on the chicken bones fuck me Next, the crab and prawn toast. Honestly, we were skeptical at first because we’ve been traumatized before by funky crab flavors here in Melbourne. But KING INA this became one of our top three favorite toasts ever. It’s hard to explain, but it reminded me of Japanese cuisine, with clean seafood flavors and an umami bomb that brought to mind a really good takoyaki but different. You just need to try it. We also had the prawn and chive dumplings. They were good, though I once had a better one in Hong Kong back in 2013 can’t remember where exactly, just the flavor, haha. We ordered the masterstock pork belly too so clean and fresh, the pork just melted in your mouth. As in, yawa basta. The chaufa (Peruvian-Chinese fried rice) was another hit easily in my top 5 favorite fried rices in Melbourne. And of course, whenever we eat out, we always try to order one veggie dish. We picked the steamed Asian greens and god damn, they were so good, I’m still craving them. We have to go back soon. 5/5. Bye TF

The moment we walked in I knew it was gonna be good! Staff showed excellent hospitality, such a warm and cosy vibe. The food was honestly amazing, not a single dish was a let down. Would 100% recommend and visit again! Only thing to point out was the music being a tiny bit too loud, besides that, wonderful night!

Big thanks to the lady server who looked after us and gave us awesome recommendations. She explains the menu super well. I completely agree about the “fusion without confusion.” We will definitely come back for lunch time next and try more dishes. Highlight was the calamari and bao. Hands down the best bao I have tried in Melbourne. Fried rice was also fantastic! We were so happy we discovered this Peruvian-Cantonese restaurant.
