Reviews for The Mint Melbourne

I revisited again The Mint in Melbourne, and I'm pleased to report that my experience was consistent with my previous visit. The Tuesday $22 parma special is still a fantastic deal. On Wednesday I enjoyed the $25 steak special.... Just look at the photo it was on point. The service remains absolutely excellent, and the lively atmosphere at 5:30 pm is a testament to its popularity. Ordering drinks and food from your table, which are promptly delivered, adds to the convenience. I'll definitely be returning for more enjoyable evenings. 👌🍻👍

This pub is certainly located in the best of all locations in Melbourne CBD.

Went to Tuesday night trivia here ( a bit of trivia is that my parents got married at the Mint then had a picnic in Flagstaff gardens ) that was not a question 😞. One of the best city parmas on offer and the drinks are not outrageously expensive. Staff were good. I like good pub staff, like they won't fall on their sword for their craft but they do what needs to be done. Great spot I will go back.

A great venue to dine at before or after visiting the spectacular Hellenic Museum housed in the former Mint. The food is good, bit on the pricier end, but yummy nonetheless. A good sized chicken parmigiana and a decent polenta stack. What ruins it for me is the self service concept. Reminds me of old poorer quality pubs or fast food joints. When it is busy it can mean your food gets cold whilst you queue up waiting to renew your drinks. At this price and style of setting, table service would be much better.

The place is super cute and the staff are warm, welcoming and attentive. I went for lunch with a group of co-workers as it was close to the office. They delivered on everything except, unfortunately, the food. The arancini and falafel that I ordered were both very bland and I heard similar whispers from others in the group with their meals. The food was very well presented and the portions were generous, it was just a shame the flavours were not there. Worth a second shot next time I am in town though I think
