Nice little bar, has potential to be as great as the reviews suggest. However we had an awful and ridiculous experience here on the weekend. We walked in, the bar was pretty empty. The two bartenders were so laid back they were nearly on the floor. Nice people mind you, polite and friendly, but offered zero in the way of service. We were left with the menu for 10 minutes before giving our orders. The bartender told us what I ordered was actually “sold out” - Strange for a big cocktail bar as it wasn’t a particularly niche cocktail, and she then went on to list off literally about 9 other cocktails which were also sold out. I would have thought she would have told us this upon arrival but whatever. So in the end we ordered a smoked whiskey cocktail and a clover club. The whiskey cocktail arrived to me, unsmoked. I asked is it not supposed to be smoked? She said yeah it is, but their smoker is broken so…… I advised that was the only reason I ordered the $29 cocktail for the smoke effectively.. This put me in an awkward position because I didn’t want the cocktail at this point and should have been advised the smoke wasn’t going to be part of it. Further, and this is probably nit-picky but the two of them were deliberating over which glass to put the clover club in. I have never seen a clover club served in a large sort of goblet in the way it was served here. Overall, it just felt like two people working in a good bar with a good menu but ultimately had not much experience or knew much about the menu. Felt like they didn’t even know how to properly make the cocktails. Very disappointing all round guys.

I attended this bar to have cocktails with a close mate and have enjoyable evening! We were disappointed as we were reminded constantly they weren’t a staff member and was only filling in. Then to be asked to pay after 1 drink and then say you can finish what you have before leaving. Insulting and rude and we were to have a big night but alas went elsewhere where we received great service. Disappointing.

Have been here a long time ago as well as recently for some local comedy. They have some rare drinks on the menu especially if you are into cocktails ;) It is great to see them survive lockdown and even doing some shows! Certainly recommend if you like an intimate settings. The interior of cosy and staff so friendly and knowledgeable.
