I just recently celebrated my 30th birthday with 75-80 of my friends and family at Stovetop. To say I'm elated with the overall experience and the memories made would be an understatement. George and his crew made all of us feel like family as soon as the night began, and the space itself was perfect for the night. Not so big that people spread out and don't mix, and not too small that we were on top of each other. The atmosphere and service was 11/10. The food was exceptional. The bar looked and functioned amazingly well also. I couldn't recommend this venue and the people running it more. So much so that I would be inclined to book it again for any other milestone celebrations in the future. Thank you again George and all of the other crew members at Stovetop.

@stovetopcafe is a cafe towards University Square/ Melb Uni📍 I love the natural light in this cafe 😍 we enjoyed the nasi Goreng and the baked eggs. Both dishes were so good! All dishes including the cauliflower salad were so generous! We went on a day where they were understaffed and they were so busy with takeaway orders 🥲 the barista and floor staff were out due to covid. We still really enjoyed our meal and coffees- mum really enjoyed the NasiGoreng 😄. Super wholesome. ♥️☀️ 🍳☕️

I had a lovely nasi goreng for breakfast. Excellent. But the coffee was a bit meh for Melbs. The milk wasn’t warm enough. But that might be just me.

I love this place. Amazing coffee, great food. I've been there several times for food and I've had: - sweetcorn fritters (quite filling, and would recommend with bacon) - tacos (lighter. the chicken and guacamole are amazing, and they have fresh pico de gaio) - calamari (best calamari i've ever had. I don't like seafood, but this is the only calamari I'll eat) - avocado bruschetta (great bread, good serving of avocado and not stingy. Served with a poached egg that is runny and very good, also with some tomato and feta. Good, light meal) - coconut bircher (surprisingly very filling. It has fresh lychees, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries. The coconut yogurt they put on top is great. Maple syrup coats the thing, so if you have a sweet tooth, this hits the spot) - granola slice (great, surprisingly softer than I thought it'd be) - lemon and coconut slice (my favourite dessert from there. Very sweet, but absolutely a go to if i want to treat myself) - croissant (good croissant) Service is great, and they have regulars which the waiters know the orders of. Is a family run business and very welcoming.
