Great venue for a celebration, perfect location, good customer service when booking the table no need for deposit, easy ordering food and drinks don’t have to worry about splitting bills. Great vibe for dancing after dinner, good music a bit of everything. Will definitely be back.

We had a magical experience at Captain Baxter, had my daughters 21st Birthday party here. The staff were absolutely wonderful, Rosie who kept the drinks flowing was outstanding the staff in the kitchen along with the bar staff were all fantastic. I would highly recommend Captain Baxter to anyone considering having a party here. We were a party of about 30 people, which was no challenge for the staff. Guys keep up the great work 100% outstanding. My guests are still calling me a day later telling me that the food was amazing and plentiful and the drinks were great. Love this place.

What an excellent experience! Dining out with kids can be a nightmare and this was the complete and lose opposite experience of that! On a Wednesday evening we ventured to CB and with three children under 5 and 3 adults we had the most wonderful dinner. A few things lead to this experience. 1) mid week venture, so it wasn’t too busy which was PERFECT for us (and other diners, let’s be real) 2) the food was phenomenal - we ordered 13 items from the menu and every one was delicious (with one less impressive than others) 3) servers and hosts were hospitable and not too in our faces or space which allowed us to relax and enjoy the evening :) Overall the food was the biggest stand out. Absolutely try the lamb shoulder and the chicken, the kingfish and the tartare. The salad was simple but refreshing and the Korean style fried chicken was bang on! An absolute flavour explosion! The parfait was a fantastic finish to a beautifully rich and decadent feast! The only miss- the tofu dip. Texture was great but we found it lacked flavour - which when stacked against so many winners, was very obvious. We will 100% be back again! Thankyou so much!

A group of 5 of us went to enjoy the $85pp banquet for a birthday dinner but found ourselves dining in a nightclub. A DJ and a group of about 100 inebriated women dancing after a long lunch. Not the atmosphere for a nice dinner and I had to yell to talk to the person next to me. We were told when we arrived at 6pm that it would finish at 7pm. Not so. We were eventually moved downstairs to the casual section where the service declined but at least we could hear each other. A venue with a confused identity. Very disappointed.

Last night we had the pleasure of spending a magical evening at Captain Baxter, and I must say, it was an experience to remember! fantastic cocktails and breathtaking ocean view. The rooftop has an amaIng view! The combination of the ocean breeze, the sunset, and the live music created an ambiance that was nothing short of enchanting. It was the perfect setting for a memorable night out. I must give a special shoutout to Joel, who went above and beyond to make our night even more special. Not only did he provide exceptional service, but he also surprised us with two free drink passes! His friendly and attentive nature truly added to the overall positive experience. Great range of cocktails at Captain Baxter The live music was another highlight of the evening. The talented musicians created a vibrant atmosphere, filling the stunning surroundings. Overall, Captain Baxter exceeded all expectations. The combination of the breathtaking ocean view, fantastic cocktails, amazing live music, and friendly staff made for an unforgettable experience. I can confidently say that I will be returning to Captain Baxter in the future, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a magical night out in St Kilda, Melbourne.
