A cozy and beautifully designed restaurant with a stunning view of Flinders Street. The staff were polite, helpful, and genuinely nice. We had booked the Cherie room, and everything was perfect—the food was excellent, and the service was great. Highly recommended!

This bar was the best find of the day. It had an old-world charm, with tables thoughtfully spaced throughout the spacious venue. The staff were incredibly friendly, making the experience even better.

The spice bag could do with some work. Schnitzel instead of fried chicken is not a welcomed change. Flavour was also lacking a bit. It even came with a garnish and was served in some peculiar packaging. Its a spice BAG, not a spice crepe cone! Other than that, the staff was friendly and the location is obviously great.

Young & Jacksons is one of Melbourne’s most iconic pubs, located at the corner of Flinders and Swanston Streets, directly opposite Flinders Street Station. Established in 1861, it is renowned for its rich history, charming heritage architecture, and welcoming atmosphere. The venue is a favourite among locals and visitors, offering a blend of classic Australian pub culture and modern hospitality. Inside, guests can enjoy a variety of dining and drinking spaces, including the rooftop bar, which boasts stunning views of the city and Federation Square. The menu features classic pub fare, complemented by an extensive selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. A highlight of Young & Jacksons is its famous painting, Chloé, an 1875 masterpiece by Jules Lefebvre, displayed in the upstairs bar. With its central location, historical significance, and lively ambience, Young & Jacksons is a must-visit destination for a true Melbourne experience.

A bustling multi-floor classic Aussie city pub on the corner right across the steps of Flinders station. An institution of a city pub in its own right, busy from top to bottom at peak times so seats and tables are at a premium. Good, noisey, city pub atmosphere with decent grub to boot (the steak we had was supposed to be Cape Grim... I beg to differ but was still well cooked, and the sauce was good, price a little steep but expected for an inner-city establishment). For the smokers, there is, thankfully, a rooftop bar with quirky corners to nestle and enjoy both deadly sins. The staff are friendly and efficient, and despite the hectic nature of it all, you still get served in a timely manner for the most part. Great location, atmosphere, cold beer, decent food, and a rooftop bar... right in the CBD, what's not to like. Just improve the steak cuts, and it will be five stars. A big shout to the lady from the bar who found my phone at the end of the night 🙏 and the friendly bouncer there, who is a legend in his own life time - relaxed, smiley and hospitable enough for my friend and I to finish our drinks and smokes a little past the closing time whilst we discussed how he should write a book about his life as bouncer and the changes he's seen in Melbourne night-life over the decades... do it, bro. Chat GPT can be your ghost writer 🙏💪👍♥️
