Highly recommended the stay at The Cullen Art Series in Melbourne. So very clean, the room was larger than expected. Everything exceeded our expectations. They had a great restaurant recommendation upon our arrival a day we loved the art through out the hotel. We would have liked our room turned over, but I think by the time we put our sign on the door for a clean at 10am the cleaners must have been past our floor already.

For the price you pay for a penthouse you would expect parking to be included, $30 per day for parking, if you are lucky enough to get a park , as it is constantly full, penthouse should have allocated parking. No room service, just Chinese take away to the room , zero breakfast menu. Hotel needs an update, wallpaper peeling off the wall. Junior penthouse is really a one bedroom with an extra large balcony. Small bathroom. Mini bar seriously lacking for penthouse standard. Location is great , staff are helpful, but you can get better bang for buck elsewhere.

Very well priced. Cheap overnight parking. Good, clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Good security. I don't like the smoke glass toilet / bathroom walls. It's a little uncomfortable even with a married couple.

Staff very welcoming on arrival and so pleasant to deal with (shout out to Lydia. Thankyou 😊) Friendly and knowledgeable. Location and amenities are great also. I have stayed at different Art Series Hotels throughout Aus and they remain a firm favourite.

Unfortunately this is a disaster of a hotel if you are trying to catch a good nights sleep. The hotel is located next to seedy bars that play loud music the entire night with impunity. Then there is the art. It looks catchy initially but then you get tired of the reprints with the same theme everywhere. On the positive side, the staff is real friendly. Good luck future bookers.
