Wonderful huge premises, located metres away from the beach and with a private walkway to it. Rooms were good size, bathrooms (except the height of the bathtub to get into for the shower was a bit too high!) Were well equipped with luxurious toiletries, plenty of good coffee and tea sachets, and extremely comfortable beds! Enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Last weekend we arrived at the Mantra in Lorne and were warmly welcomed by Hilary who was delightful. Our accommodation was perfect. The sea view was beautiful and the sound of the ocean very meditative. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the staff were very attentive. The location is excellent and we were able to do some lovely walks in and around Lorne. We will definitely be back .

Loved our night at Mantra Lorne. Had a very warm welcome from Hilary on front desk. Enjoyed a hit of tennis and then a drink at the bar. Breakfast was great. There was one male server in particular in Tuesday morning who made delicious coffees and was very nice to interact with. Will absolutely be back. Loved it.

Couldn't get a carpark, ended up out near the street, walked all the way accross to reception, 100's of people in there drinking, so loud it felt like walking into a night club, couldn't hear what reception were saying but got the map. Walked all the way back to my car, people shouting on the street, drove around trying to find the suggested car space but they were all full, finally ended up where I had started near the street. Called reception to ask what to do, too loud could barely hear them, lugged my bags all the way to try find my room, the little foyer bit stinks, loud buzzing noise, finally work out my room, its upstairs, very unclear signage. Both my room and another room are in this strange little door together which feels really unsafe getting in and out. Went back to reception to ask where the restaurant is, no one there, empty wine glasses everywhere from earlier party, no idea where restaurant is so walked down the street to get tea. The carpet in the room is filthy, broken shutter, bathroom glass almost frosted looking as not clean. Girl in reception I saw on my way back past was lovely. Swapped my bottle of wine from a white to a red so I could go back and have a wine, a bath and go to bed. Water pressure so low by the time the bath fills its stone cold so couldn't even have a bath. The most depressing start to a holiday I have ever had, and I am here for two nights. Not at all like the photos or description. Couldn't get wifi to work, pillows are so flimsy your head is just on the mattress, party goers, a huge group quite loud returning to their rooms after midnight, the sound of people going up and down stairs and closing the big heavy doors does not make for a good sleep. Spent day two with a migrane in bed. Room service has very limited hours, but the local Indian restaurant made me up some delicious take out. Pool is overlooked by reception which feels strange. And dining space in the room doesn't have blinds, so if sitting eating you are looking directly into your neighbours room, felt very awkward. I was originally booked for a different room, unsure how I ended up in this one. Also lift not working.

I spent two nights in this hotel during a conference held in this place. Overall the room was clean. However, the air conditioning system at night was making super loud noises and practically didn't allow me to sleep. The positive side of my stay was the location, friendly staff, a relatively good breakfast with proper options, and enough parking lots for cars. Overall, it is a good choice for those who visit Lorne, especially on a business trip.
