This hotel was absolutely perfect for my two night stay in Melbourne with my friend. From the moment you entered the building, everyone was so warm and welcoming and even tho I was early for check in, they accommodated us anyway! It’s in a great location only a few minutes walk from Melbourne central station and the shopping centre within Melbourne central. Also only a little walk to Bourke street mall which is another great shopping location! The room was spotless, a little small for some maybe but exactly what we needed and we wouldn’t have needed anything more! I loved the quirky design this hotel has, it almost feels like you’re not in Melbourne in the best way! The only minor issues we had was the elevators were having issues one day which prevented us from getting to our room (this is at no fault of the hotel staff) staff were attentive and quick in resolving the issue! As well as a request for robes and toiletries that then had someone come to fix our TV? But this was sorted again very quickly and professionally. We also had room service one night which was delivered very quickly and was delicious! We did not have breakfast but I do regret that now because it did look amazing! Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for the location, the service and the beautiful rooms!

I had the most wonderful stay! The hotel was absolutely beautiful — every detail was thoughtfully done and the atmosphere was so relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The bed was unbelievably comfortable (one of the best sleeps I’ve had in ages!), and the location was perfect — close to everything yet peaceful and quiet. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and can’t wait to come back!

This hotel is simply outstanding! The service was top-tier, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. My room was cozy, spotless, and had a lovely view. Breakfast was full of delicious choices, and the restaurant team were very polite. The pool and fitness area were well maintained. I loved every part of my stay and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

My sister and l spent four nights in a premium twin share room with fantastic city views. Situated right near Melbourne Central makes this hotel ideal for a city stay. The room was exactly as advertised. Clean, stylish and comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable too. We tried the hotel’s restaurant, breakfast buffet and room service and were happy with all of them. Hotel staff were exceptional in their efforts to provide good service, especially at reception. If you can get a good hotel deal, then this one is a gem for a city stay. I’d happily return. 👍🏽

We had a truly wonderful stay at voco Melbourne Central and were thoroughly impressed by the excellent service and hospitality extended to us throughout our visit. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly with genuine smiles and were consistently pleasant and welcoming. Their friendly demeanour and attentiveness made us feel right at home. One thing that stood out was the efficiency of the lifts – they were impressively fast, which we really appreciated, especially during busy times. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. The team was also very accommodating when we requested an early check-in and late check-out – while subject to availability, they made every effort to meet our needs and communicated clearly throughout. We also made use of the gym during our stay, and the equipment was easy to use and in excellent condition. The staff were proactive in giving helpful recommendations, such as letting us know it might be too cold and windy for a swim in the outdoor pool – a thoughtful gesture that showed they genuinely cared about guests’ comfort. Above all, what truly made our stay memorable was the consistently prompt and courteous service from the entire team. Every query we had was answered efficiently, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. voco Melbourne has one of the most impressive hotel teams we’ve encountered – professional, helpful, and warm. Highly recommend and would love to stay again!

Our private room Tongs, is ideal for small events. Guests can separate themselves from the buzz of the restaurant with automatic curtains while meeting or hosting a creative party. Up to 30 people can be accommodated in boardroom setup.
Blacksmith Restaurant
Overlooking Melbourne’s skyline with its twinkling city lights at night makes for an impressive event. Our Blacksmith Restaurant is available for exclusive use of up to 150 people for a canape reception or 80 for a sit-down dinner.
