Ballroom Fit
Ballroom Fit students and coaches danced at the Australian DanceSport Championship held at Centrepiece. The venue if very modern with up to date facilities. The staff were very helpful and professional. Would definitely recommend for a dinner dance or similar event.

Nice venue for a small gathering of around 150. I guess the rooms are expandable. Easy to reach via public transport (15 minutes walk from Flinders Street). I do not prefer to drive and park at the venue, but it's your choice.

The CENTERPIECE at Melbourne park is an impressive space devoted to exhibitions and public events. The building is massive, it can handle all sorts of events and parties, easily accessible by public transport. It has made Melbourne a more interesting place for visitors and residents alike. By the way, nice architecture,

Great spot for a conference, especially an all day one, heaps of room and the food was really delicious from breakfast through to afternoon tea. I *might* have had two scones 🙈 Facilities like coat check and bathrooms all clean, with really friendly staff, look forward to attending another conference there again!

"Centrepiece At Melbourne Park" is a brand new multistory event venue building that replaces the now demolished "Melbourne Park Function Centre". In February 2022 the venue is functioning and complete, although construction is still taking place around it. When we were told the new Northern Carpark was available when we enquired, but could not book online. On arrival we were told that it wasn't open yet and paid parking was available in the nearby Tennis Centre HQ carpark. Large venue in the Centre of the Sports Precinct, the Centrepiece Function Centre is one of the larger venues in Melbourne, easily holding 1000+ people for a sit down dinner with a large dance floor and band space. It seems that it can be broken down into smaller rooms with gigantic moveable walls. Upstairs there are more rooms and an auditorium Adjacent are the Rod Laver Arena, John Cain Tennis Centre, AAMI Centre, MCG and others. We found the staff very helpful and friendly, anything we needed they bent over backwards to help us. It's not the easiest place to get to, being as its name suggests located in the centre of a sometimes extremely busy sports and entertainment precinct. However you get here you'll have a decent walk to get to the entrances, and that's if you can find parking. Not sure how you go if you want a taxi or Uber to pick you up, the nearest main road is a good 200metre walk across a windswept concourse between stadiums and buildings. This is one of Melbourne's busiest areas when all venues are hosting events. If you want to park nearby, it's best to book in advance online as parking is frequently fully booked out, sometimes a week or so in advance.
