Absolutely loved this place. Service was excellent, rooftop bar is great, drinks and food prices very reasonable for city location and the dining room experience was perfect for dinner. Will definitely be back again to try their slow cooked lamb pie. The stuffed pork roulade was amazing 👌

I had an amazing time at The Duke of Wellington rooftop bar. The views of Melbourne are stunning, and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed evening out. The drinks were great, and the service was friendly and attentive. It’s a fantastic spot to unwind with friends or enjoy a casual drink with a view.

✨ Summer Rooftop Dining ✨ Established in 1853, The Duke of Wellington is Melbourne’s oldest licensed pub, serving a variety of satisfying pub meals. It features various seating options, perfect for intimate gatherings or enjoying refreshing views from the rooftop. We had: 🥩 Chargrilled Lamb Rump $48 🍝 Queensland Prawn & Chorizo Linguini $37 🥧 Lamb Pie $32 🍰 Lemon Curd Tiramisu $12 🍮 Crème Brulee $12 I haven’t visted many pubs for dining and was pleasantly surprised how delicious the meals were. The Chargrilled Lamp Rump had a robust charred burn flavour with a pink center, complemented by a light celeriac remoulade salad dressed in mustard and a crisp watercress salad. The serving of linguini was exceptionally generous, cooked al dente and tossed with chili, garlic butter, lemon, olive oil, and herbs. The pangrattato (Italian breadcrumbs) provided an additional layer of texture and the prawns were bouncy and plentiful. The Lamb Pie was the dish that excited me the most, and it definitely lived up to expectations. The meat was tender, soaked in a rich red wine sauce, all wrapped in a flaky, biscuit-like pastry. The creamy mashed potatoes and peas offered a great contrast in texture, while the gravy enhanced the overall dish. We ended with a Lemon Curd Tiramisu, a delightful blend of sponge and cream with a zesty kick, and a rich, creamy Crème Brûlée.

Have been here a few times and it’s a go to for when we’re craving a Parma. I also love the halloumi chips and recommend going up top for some cute booths and tables with a bit of a view.

Mitchell was an amazing waiter! We’ve had him many times before and always love seeing his smiling face. He’s so efficient, helpful, polite and courteous. The food at The Duke is delicious! Eye fillet steaks cooked to perfection paired with a pot of Draught - my favourite meal! Thanks for always providing a great time! We always head here before we head off to see the Pies at the G! 🖤🤍
