I’ve stayed at The Olsen many times now and yet again have just had an exceptional experience. The staff are always so professional and helpful. The location is amazing. The hotel itself is lovely. I stayed in a room with a balcony and was so imprsssed at how much room there was on the balcony, I spent a lot of my time out there! The room was lovely, warmly inviting, plenty of room. The bathroom was a little tired, with some mould obvious in the grouting around the shower - that’s literally the only negative thing I could say about my stay. I will definitely be back!

I was super excited to stay at the Olsen but had an awful experience. Not only was it very difficult to sleep at night due to the traffic and not to mention a man was hit by a car outside of our hotel room. I had left my hotel room to go to my work conference and when I returned my clothes and been moved and items were also missing. I spoke to the front desk immediately as to find my clothing. They couldn’t find my item and said to speak to them in the morning. I went down to check out and asked about my item and no one had any idea it had even been missing. Normally I wouldn’t be this upset but it was a very expensive top. When speaking to the front desk they said they would contact the linen company first thing and when I came back from my second conference to see what was happening they still hadn’t contacted the company. I have since left the hotel and made my journey home and have zero information on my top. And to add to this the housekeepers had left various strands of hair throughout my bathroom. So overall I do not recommend

Great location and beautifully designed rooms. The rooms were clean and fitted with modern amenities. We loved the inspirational Olsen prints displayed in the room and throughout the hotel. Staff were very professional and friendly. Trams and trains are very close and we were able to travel into the city easily and quickly. There were numerous shops, cafes and restaurants within very short walking distance. We will definitely stay again.

The highlight was the indoor/outdoor pool. Part of the pool has a see through glass floor, which was great. Also, you can look out onto chapel St from in the pool. The staff were amazing. I told them about my claustrophobia in elevators, and they happily opened the fire escape stairs for me. Thank you so much. The shower pressure was great and the bed comfortable. Housekeeping was a little loud when cleaning the rooms next door. Apart from that, perfect stay

Stayed for two nights and would highly recommend. The location was perfect for shopping and dining out. Great vibe in the hotel and cool interior design. I found the beds a little hard which is why I didn't give it 5 stars but I'm a bit of a princess and the pea with beds :) I would definitely stay there again when I'm next in Melbourne.
