We were booked for 7 days but ended up in a very tiny room that smelled like old sneakers and didn't have window that would open. It was Taylor Swift weekend so everywhere was packed but Sam at reception was outstanding and somehow found us another room. This one was on the 1st floor, same room type and it had a whole loungeroom and porch! I would suggest asking for a room with a porch/window that opens when booking. **Cons: The room was tired but fine. It had more "motel" vibes than "hotel" vibes but it was clean and the bed was comfy and not saggy. Also, The kids at the school and the construction/air con are pretty noisy but the door blocks the noise out really well. We had to call and ask for everything - towels, coffee machine, a cup, a plate etc. Its like someone stole everything in the whole place. Washing machine was in a shared little room, very linty and $3 per load There's only space for one suitcase, but housekeeping have luggage racks if you ask for one. There's only one space over the toilet for your towels which is gross. There's no other hooks or places for a towel. **Pros: Super close to the train station, super market, shops and lots of great places to eat. The second room was very spacious, comfortable and clean enough. The staff are wonderful and helpful even on a very busy weekend.

I've stayed at this hotel twice for a few days at a time. The pool is a great addition. Long enough to swim laps if there are only a few people there and refreshing for a quick dip. It was never too busy and I frequently had the pool to myself. The kitchenettes in the room have everything you need to be able to cater for yourself if you need to, and there's a big Woolworth's in the mall across the Chapel Street. There are a few great cafes just a couple of streets away for breakfast and lunch and South Yarra train station has you at Flinders St in just a couple of stops/10-15 minutes. I stay here because of the convenience of getting to the Australian Open, the pool and location of plenty of good places to eat. The housekeeping service is a bit hit and miss. I've found that unless you are out early in the morning, the room might not get serviced. Not a particularly big issue. The wall between the bedroom and bathroom is just frosted glass and none of the rooms have tubs, just showers, so it's more utilitarian than luxurious but perfect if that's what you need. I'd keep returning!

We held our annual conference here and could not have been happier. From the first moment we stepped foot in the hotel, the reception staff were lovely and incredibly easy to speak with [not to mention super helpful]. The conference team were overly helpful and accommodating throughout our days there and once again, myself and my team could not have been more pleased. The restaurant food was excellent, all topped off by exceptional staff across the hotel. From the team at GA Finance, thank you for an excellent few days. We will return.

Stayed here for New Years. We booked a room for 2 with the balcony and requested to get a room with city view so we could see the Fireworks. We got what we asked for. Room was beautiful, very clean & sound proof. Everything we needed was there. Room service was amazing. Pool, food, drinks with in the hotel were fantastic. The best bed I've ever slept in! So luxurious, felt like you were on cloud 9. Even the Shower was Fantastic! Water pressure was great. Body wash, Shampoo, Conditioner & Body lotion were great quality & smelled amazing. They were in large 500ml bottles with pumps, you'd never run out. I would buy them for home if they sold them. Anything we needed was brought up to our room. Lots of food places walking distance from the hotel. On new years, felt like we were part of a huge New Years party. On the balcony we could see appartments and felt like whole Melbourne was screaming Happy New Year! Watching Fireworks! Great atmosphere to celebrate 2024! Ones we closed the balcony doors, we were away from it all & couldn't hear anyone. Absolutely 5 stars stay! Thank you to all Booking, Reception, Room Service & Restaurant staff for making our stay so fantastic. We will definitely be back again ❤️ Highly Recommend 👍 Would give them 10 Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really liked this hotel - room was compact and comfortable. Throughout the hotel had lots of art on display. Modern TVs you can stream from your phone on. Location is great and minutes walk to lots of good restaurants or shopping. Staff were friendly although an issue with my bill did take nearly 2 weeks to rectify, but does not change the overall positive stay.
