Not bad but not great experience, not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Stayed in one of the top floor penthouses and it feels like it starting to get a little dated in the bathrooms/finishes. Was woken up at 7:30am by the cleaning staff having loud conversations outside the door, also you can constantly hear everyone’s doors opening and closing. Overall it’s a fine and comfortable hotel but lacks anything that gives it that extra special 5 star feeling.

Had a great 2 nights @ The Olsen. The staff were friendly & helpful, the room was comfortable & clean. The restaurant staff were professional. The location was fantastic! Only downsides were that some of the toiletries in the room ran out & the pillows were too soft. I would stay there again

Had a lovely 3 night stay. The hotel is very nice with lots of beautiful art and great in-room facilities. Perfect location close to the station and Chapel Street but down a quiet street so doesn't feel too hustle bustle.

We recently stayed here as part of a family trip. My husband and I travelled with our infant twins and were very nervous about the endeavour. The Olsen proved to be the perfect choice for us. Spacious and clean rooms in addition to excellent service from all the staff we had the pleasure of dealing with. We will need to travel to Melbourne again in the future and have every intention of staying at the Olsen again.

It's pretty sub-par. Thought it was a bit cheap for a 5 star, but that's because it's like a 3 star in quality. So ended up being too expensive for the quality. I usually stay at a 3 star hotel for half this price and my room is always bigger than the one we got here, and the quality is the exact same. Parking is pretty expensive for a 5 star too. The location is decent. The art is interesting. But the size, quality, and just general vibe is not worth the money in the slightest. We had the tiniest room for $250 a night. Would never be back and would not recommend to a friend.
