Deluxe suite didn't look anything like what was advertised online, nice enough, but feels very outdated and getting old - needs maintenance. My sink had a massive crack in the porcelain was peeling off. Breakfast.......horrendous, grossly overpriced and everything was too cold to eat $77 you should keep in your pocket. Was given miss information on arrival- took $100 "bond" for incidentals but told our charges to the room would come off this - standard. Upon checking out the reception charged another $133 (for our 2 cold Breakfast meals) and said that the other $100 we paid on arrival had nothing to do with this account and would be given back in 5 business days or however long our bank takes 🤬 Double dipped in my opinion and I was NOT happy as my sister who also stayed DID not have the same outcome....they simply took Breakfast off her deposit. Would not recommend - I'm sure other hotels would treat guests better and you would get more value for $ elsewhere

We recently stayed at The Olsen Hotel and were very very impressed by the amazing service. From the moment we checked in, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Every request was met with a smile, and the attention to detail was impeccable. The room was pristine, the amenities top-notch, and the staff truly made us feel like a valued guest. All their staff our amazing and to name a few, Raghu, Julian and Jess. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional experience. Thanks Guys, looking forward to our stay here again.

It's definitely not a 5-star hotel - more like a 3.5-star. In every way it fees like a basic Accor hotel. The location is good if you need or want to be in South Yarra. It's close to the train and there are many good restaurant and cafe choices within walking distance. The hotel front desk is understaffed so you'll probably have to manage your own luggage and wait around for someone to check you in. The housekeeping is very inconsistent - amenities often not replaced. I'm curious to know if this is because the hotel lacks process or whether it's being stingy. I wouldn't stay in this hotel again and probably wouldn't book the hotel brand again either.

Great hotels anticipate guest requests. Good hotels remember guest requests. Bad hotels only fulfill guest requests. The Olsen struggles even with the last category. The service is sloppy, forgetful and slow. Different employees seem to have been given different guidebooks with different sets of rules to follow. On the upside, the location is great, the rooms nice and quiet and the breakfast very tasty, if slow.

A beautifully appointed room. Clean and spacious. My only gripe was the aircon only went as low as 19c - my ideal sleeping temp is 17c and below. I also found the bed a tad too soft for me. These are small details and probably won't impact on the average guest, so don't let this put you off what is a lovely hotel.
