Brett on the door with his top hat made our experience. So friendly and up for a chat! The location of this hotel is wonderful - so central and also a short walk to the botanic gardens as well. The breakfast buffet is much more detailed than other hotels. Definitely quality ingredients are used. Would definitely revisit this hotel - very unique!

Beautiful old world property, immaculately maintained and tastefully decorated. From the lobby to the rooms, much attention is paid to detail. The dining venue is excellent, offering a nice variety of regional fare. The amenities are also very good: gym, spa, pool, and rooftop deck are outstanding. Ideally situated next to the river, with easy access to restaurants, bars, and sightseeing. Finally, the staff is phenomenal! They are helpful, thoughtful, and very welcoming.

Fantastic hotel! We stayed for a staycation in our home city this weekend and had a lovely experience. The hotel is classic looking and very lovely. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful and we really felt like we got a 5* service. The amenities are spot on and the whole experience was very seamless for us. The breakfast is a must! Best variety and quality I’ve ever had in a 5* The only constructive feedback I would have is that our luggage took way too long to be sent up to our room (over an hour) which wasn’t ideal when we had things to do after checking in. We will be coming back.

Stayed in a club room during the Australian Open. Rooms were a bit dated but this was expected given the age of the hotel. Overall the room was still nice in a more traditional way and the bathroom was clean. Buffet breakfast was decent - as is typical of Australian hotels the variety isn't huge, but enough to satisfy. The pressing service was very quick which could be useful in a pinch. The club lounge food was a very big standout for me. The afternoon tea spread was just wonderful and beautifully presented. Yet somehow the evening canapés eclipsed even the afternoon tea. They were so good I went back for seconds despite having dinner to get to. Each item was of a high quality and surpassed my expectations on taste. Overall a great experience.

Beautiful location overlooking the river. Room is perfect with plenty of storage. Buffet has everything and especially loved the mango juice! Concierge Peter was extra helpful, personable, and had a great sense of humor. Amazing experience all around!
