Rooms wee small and not serviced in our three days stay. Free undercover parking was a plus and great. Local shops and restaurants are good and all within walking distance, great location. Pool and gardens are amazing. There is a bar in the foyer and they make great cocktails but they have a coffee machine that either doesn’t work or they don’t know how to use it. The bar does close early. I didn’t find the staff friendly or engaging.
Met all expectations. Highly recommend Mantra: service was great, 1 Bedroom Pool View Spa Suite was spacious and clean, the pool was excellent and the proximity to the beach is fantastic. Staff were accommodating and helpful. Definitely will go back there.
Quite torn about this place- the biggest issue we had was the tiny king room with the partial ocean view. It was very average, extremely small, old worn out furniture , stained carpets and spongy bed. Would not want to spend any more than 1-2 nights here. I am an Accor platinum member so on the second day asked for an upgrade and to their credit we were moved into a1 bedroom King suite with views. The resort itself needs some updating- the lobby is ok and pool area is nice quite large and plenty of deck lounges. Service is a bit hit & miss with cleaning up around the pool very slow. The good things are the proximity to the beach and local restaurants many of which were very good. The standouts were Giulia Italian and La Barrita mexican. The Salt bean cafe was great for coffee. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful as always.
I’ll start of by talking about how much I love this place. The beautiful pools and the location is just immaculate. Rooms- The room I stayed in accommodated 4 people. The bathroom doors have no noise cancellation so people will most of the time hear your private business. The cabinets in the bathroom were falling apart from being wet. The sofa bed had pubic hairs on it but luckily the cleaners came up to fix it. The fridge was a little dirty as well. Service- Pretty average service. Very friendly cleaners. Location: Right next to a little strip mall, the location is just amazing. The beach is suffering from terrible erosion but that’s just one negative. Overall I would give this an easy 5 stars but it’s just not as good as it used to be.I’ll start of by talking about how much I love this place. My family and I recently stayed at Mantra Salt in a 2 bedroom apartment for a week in January. Not only did the king mattress have such severe bed sag that I had to alternate every couple of hours to the sofa bed, but after itching and scratching for three nights we realised the mattresses in both rooms were infested with bed bugs!!! It left my family virtually sleepless for 3 nights. This is appalling for a 4.5 star hotel that charged me approximately $600 per night!!! I was very polite about the complaint and discreet so other guests would not be alarmed. Reception staff were very accommodating and our room was changed. There appeared to be no bed bugs in the next room but the mattress sag on the king was just as horrendous so my husband and I had to sleep for the remainder of our holiday (4 nights) on the sofa bed which was equally as uncomfortable. We were told this was the only spare room available during that busy period so we couldn't ask for yet another room. I emailed the hotel on our return home asking them to do the right thing and refund our first three nights - and ...absolute crickets! Im an accor member but this has left a very sour taste in my mouth and I am very unlikely to use an Accor hotel again or recommend that particular hotel to anyone. Such a shame because the staff were accommodating, and the location is brilliant.
