Function Venue
•The Hordern Pavilion has long been one of Sydney's favourite entertainment venues. An architecturally and socially significant Sydney landmark since its construction in 1924. Frank Sinatra, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, Nirvana and even The Jackson Five... it all happened here! Set in the Moore Park Precinct, Hordern's historic facade disguises a versatile venue packed with potential. Many millions of people have been through its doors - to dance, to sing, to dine and even do business. Live music, film premieres, gala dinners, product launches such as the Rolling Stone re-launch, award nights such as Dally Ms and Astra Awards as well as exhibitions like Life InStyle and Masterchef Live... Everyone has a story from the Hordern!

Really great venue. As someone who has been fortunate enough to experience venues all around the world this is definitely one of the best. Great sound + lighting, fantastic AC, as well as a great selection of food trucks and drinks. Fantastic choice of standing or seating (you can see everything from the seats)! Staff have always been super helpful and they are effective at getting people in quickly and efficiently.
I don’t go to gigs anymore but made an exception to see IDLES at the Hordern. Have seen many big acts here so I know it well. These days, I prefer to sit then get in the mix. Seating is abundant for a GA event like this and the view was unobstructed. Sounds was also still very loud and clear. As with any event, timing when to hit the bar determines wait times but thankfully there are enough bars to make the quick trip possible. Prices were standard for these kinds of events… not cheap but not obscenely expensive. Parking at the Entertainment Quarter was surprisingly cheap. Planned to take a motorbike to get free parking for bikes but opted for car at the last minute. Parking was only $7. Many years ago, we once got stuck at the car park after a Muse concert due to all the people leaving. This time I had very speedy egress by leaving just as the show ended (no encore). I don’t want to find out what the car park exiting situation is like now. Still a great small “big” venue. When acts get too big for the Enmore, they go here… which is no longer intimate but not stadium sized.
6/11/2024 LANY concert. The concert was good but the sound system was terrible. I could not hear the vocal clearly. It was so muffled that it really distracted me enjoying the show.
Wrestles with the Kenmore as my favourite venue in Sydney but gets the nod for having a bigger capacity and less bottlenecks for drinks.
So good. Been twice 1 for my favourite band Nothing But Thieves on the 30.4.24 which was the best night of my life!! And then for Fletcher on the 27.10.24
