They charged me for drinks at the bar, but then later I was told that drinks were included which feels very dodgy. I also didn’t get any cake and nor did anyone at my table. Not sure why this wasn’t organised better as the cake was very large and there was more than enough for everyone. Venue was beautiful otherwise but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re booking a wedding.
Really pretty garden and venue. Love that the car park is on site, this was an absolute bonus when I came here for a gfs wedding. Convenient as after the ceremony came the reception which was just a few steps from the garden. Really stunning and elegant place. Food was average. Everything else was good. Great place for photos.
Beautiful venue! Very elegant interior, gorgeous exterior and gardens. The service was prompt, friendly and highly professional. Food was tasty, filling and beautifully presented. Would absolutely recommend this venue for large functions.
Raphael & Korinne we cannot thank you enough for the magical day you helped us create for our wedding day! Your service, communication, professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond meant the world to us. The beautiful grounds of Oatlands house was the most perfect place for us to host our ceremony! The food was phenomenal and the staff members on our wedding day and night were the kindest most beautiful people. Your venue cares for the people and you put so much love and energy on the events you are hosting. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts!
We recently attended a wedding reception here, and unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. While weddings are special occasions meant to create lasting memories, several aspects of the event were disappointing. While the venue itself was lovely and well laid out, parking was a bit of a mission but not a huge issue in the grand scheme of things. The level of service was woeful, had to wait a considerable amount of time to get a waiter to come to our table to order a jug of a drink only to see it get delivered to the wrong table to their delight as they had been waiting for service for just as long as we had. Many of the guests did complain about the same lack of urgency of the staff which unfortunate as this is literally what you do, you would assume these guys would have this part of the night down pat. The food itself was nice. Although one of the guests with special dietary requirements due to allergies got a meal that triggered their allergy. While we understand that some challenges are unavoidable, it felt as though more care and attention could have been given as I’ve been to better organised children’s 3rd birthday parties. For the money the couple paid I’d be looking elsewhere.. Avoid like the plague!!
