Nestled along a paved laneway, Quick Brown Fox is housed in an 1840s sandstone dwelling turned eatery where old-world charm meets contemporary dining. With our unique architecture and design, QBF is the perfect place to celebrate life milestones with your nearest & dearest.
Our charming little corner cottage is one in a string of heritage terraces on Union Street leading up to Union Square, all built in the 1800s from sandstone – or yellow block, as it was known – sourced from Pyrmont’s then-famous quarries. Stepping inside, you feel the history and stories in our walls, with original features like the exposed timber beams and fireplaces preserved and serving as a link to the past.

This place is great! Ignore the negative reviews and come check it out. Of course it’s a premium location with high quality food so you’ll pay a higher premium but it’s worth it! The food and coffee is great! The potato waffle verdict in particular is amazing! The staff are so lovely! One member even mentioned the kitchen was closing soon so we could get our order in before it closed. Ignore the moaning people and come check it out for yourself!

We had a great brunch at Quick Brown Fox today. The upsides: the atmosphere, mostly outdoors, is wonderful especially as the weather warms. Our waitress was also great, super friendly and attentive. And a big win for me - they are dog friendly! The food was also good although my corn and haloumi fritters were a touch dry, but the rest of the family loved their meals. We will definitely be back!

Such a yummy way to spend my birthday brunch! Really unique fusion brunch items here! The XO chicken congee was really yummy, as was the potato waffle eggs Benedict with ham off the bone. Their hashbrown is also stellar!! Perfect crisp to softness ratio, and more elevated than the usual frozen hashbrown patties you get at cafes. Was worth the add on for sure! The servers were lovely and the atmosphere was very cute. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!!

We booked for brunch for two and were seated right away. The food, service and ambience were all top-notch! The staff were very attentive and made our day special. Thanks Dan! The wait for walk-ins was consistent throughout the morning. However, the efficiency in turning over the tables and service speed shows excellent management. We will be back next week! 😊

This place had amazing food & coffee. Coming back to try some of the other amazing dishes on the breakfast menu. Made it back again & tried the burger & smashed avocado, absolutely amazing.
