The dining experience was truly exceptional, with each dish exceeding expectations. The kangaroo and pizza were particularly delightful, while my companions loved the fettuccine and sticky date pudding. Overall, it was a memorable outing with friends, thanks to the delicious food and wonderful company.
We were off to a very rough start when the staff serving us says, oh i don’t know i don’t like garlic and i can’t tolerate it and nearly drops the pizza on the table while saying that ( We understand people have preferences but probably best to keep it to yourself or ask another staff to serve it instead of killing someones appetite, ignoring it we moved on with the mains ) The garlic pizza was delicious though and well cooked until we saw a bits of tiny hair cooked in the cheese toward the end of it. We ordered the chimichuri fettuccine and the stir fry noodles with prawns which were both really nice and fresh. Later, The another staff serving us disappeared and we had to get up twice to go look for someone to take our order. It was a really hot day and neither the aircon or the fans were turned on which was also a mood killer but the good food was enough to keep us calm.
It's lovely to sit out on the balcony and watch the people go by. The view of the harbour is nice too. We came for lunch and had the pulled pork burger and the fish and chips. Both were great examples of the genre. The pork was tender and juicy. Plenty of sauce on the burger too. The chips had a nice crispiness and the fish was cooked well and not dried out. Service is very quick. I like that this is a bar too and you have a few good options for beer on-tap. The stone cooked pizza looked good too. I saw a few other people order those and would recommend on looks alone. It's a bit pricey but you'd expect that for the location. Our two meals and two beers were over $90, but it's Darling Harbour.
It was our first time to dine in during Valentine’s Day. I really enjoyed the view, food, atmosphere & service. Friendly service & great food. It was busy evening, yet got what we ordered on time. Really recommended to anyone who's gonna dine in at Blackbird. We all enjoyed it. Kids loved it. Definitely coming again
Lovely waterfront cafe with lots of dishes to choose from. If you'd like to try kangaroo, they have it here and it comes with delicious wedges! I loved the bbq meat stonefire pizza loaded with chorizo, and I also enjoyed their chicken tacos and selection of pastas.
