Cafe
•Located on the banks of Sydney's most exciting harbour front, Eastbank Cafe is renowned for innovative modern cuisine with a signature Italian soul. With alfresco dining on a backdrop of breathtaking harbour views through floor to ceiling windows, Eastbank is an ideal destination for a variety of functions. In particular, the venue is well suited to business lunches with clients and colleagues, and office celebrations at the end of the financial year or to kick off the holiday period. And of course, it's great for smaller groups – a memorable experience with friends, pre or post-theatre drinks or a romantic dinner by the harbour.

Excellent location on the road from the train stop to the Opera House with a magical view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and moored ships. Plus very good food. And that's where the pluses end. Prices like out of space, even for such a location! Especially that the portion of food more for tasting than for dinner. Waitresses as if they worked for punishment (not even for a moment did they smile). One waiter running between tables like a clown accosting everyone. On a very windy day, he gave the last blanket to a larger group of customers instead of seated children, as if he was hoping for a better tip from the group rather than individuals. On the one hand waiter service, on the other the bill has to be paid at the cash register. And here the brazen behavior of the waitress, who almost under our noses placed a terminal with a display showing the various options for tipping - while looking to see if we were sure to press any. What's more, we were charged some additional fee (presumably for paying by card). All in all, we paid for a very expensive dinner, on top of that we were almost forced to pay a tip, and on top of that we were charged an additional fee for no one knows what. There is a large selection of restaurants with good food nearby, so we will definitely not return here again. I would advise against it if you like simple and clear situations, not combinations aimed at extracting as much money as possible from the customer.
We dined outside during winter, they had lots of heaters to keep us warm and we had a beautiful view of the Sydney harbour bridge and sunset. The food was good, lots of variety and they cater for GF options. Only thing our drinks came out after most of us had finished our meals.
A nice location overlooking the Sydney Harbour but my experience was disappointing because they advertised very crispy chips and beer battered fish but my meal was very ordinary. The batter was thick, heavy and difficult to cut. The fish and chips were overcooked. I did see other meals being served such as spaghetti and linguine and they may have been a better choice.
After visiting the Sydney Opera House, we were hoping to grab a quick lunch. Their $24 lunch special grabbed our attention so we thought we would give it a try. The $24 lunch special menu was big enough to cater for all tastes. We ordered a Fish and Chips, Spagbol and Wagyu Beef Burger. The fish was nicely cooked. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The Spaghetti was tender and the sauce was flavoursome. The Wagyu beef burger was cooked just right although a bit more flavour would have been great. The outdoor dining was a bit of a mixed bag. It was a nice and sunny day so outdoor sitting was supposed to be ideal but we were constantly distracted by seagulls. The passionate restaurant owner was also a bit distracting with constant yelling out across the floor to potential customers and chasing away the seagulls.
The view is spectacular, and the food is delicious, but the customer service left much to be desired. As someone who works in hospitality, I rarely dine out and was looking forward to a relaxing meal. Unfortunately, the staff seemed rushed and overly eager to move us along. Despite clearly discussing the menu and pointing out options, we were interrupted multiple times to check if we were ready to order. Later, while still enjoying our entree, we were pressured to finish quickly so the staff could clear the plate and bring our mains. The restaurant wasn’t closing, and there were some free tables, making this push for turnover feel unnecessary and uncomfortable.
