Just stayed overnight at Fraser Suits Sydney. Not only was our room clean, spacious, and comfortable, the view and facilities were fantastic. The indoor pool was a perfect temp to hop straight into and the location was a short walk to everything great in Sydney. Parking was easy there also. The most outstanding part, however, was Connie. I spoke to her the morning of check in on the phone to get some details and was greeted upon arrival by her also. We found her to be kind and so knowledgeable. I find that in any place we end up, amazing people are what makes a place memorable. Thank you Connie ! Can't wait to return next time with the kids in tow.
First impressions are always important and Connie at the front desk was superb. She helped me in when i couldnt figure out the revolving door, she made me feel very welcomed during my check in and was very professional and pleasant. The room i got was on a top floor corner one bedroom suite and its remarkable with great views of downtown Sydney. Ive stayed at other fraser locations in Singapore and Malaysia and this one in Sydney is the best of all three ive stayed in. Looking forward to a very pleasant stay.
Stayed in a Studio Deluxe suite and it was absolutely lovely. Very spacious, mainly clean. Only thing I can fault is that the cutlery in the room was dirty. No dishwashing liquid in the room to even clean the dishes. Breakfast was delicious and coffee was great. View is very nice. And the location is great for public transport and food with Regents Place being just next door to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
Some hotels grow on you over time — this one does the opposite. The longer you stay, the more you come to understand its shortcomings. I honestly don’t understand how this hotel is rated five stars on Google Maps — it clearly falls short. I would hesitate to even categorize it as a top-tier four-star hotel. 1) Terrible soundproofing. You can clearly hear conversations in the hallway from inside your room — and people outside can hear you, too. There’s zero privacy. On top of that, you’ll constantly hear honking, sirens, and street noise from the road below. 2) Unstable and painfully slow Wi-Fi. Over my six-month stay, the hotel experienced three major internet outages, during which the connection was completely down. If you need to work remotely or don’t have a local SIM card, this place is incredibly frustrating. Even on regular days, the Wi-Fi is slow and unstable, especially in the evenings. 3) Poor lighting in the rooms. The rooms are very dim, and I honestly don’t understand why they won’t install more lights. If you need to take a video call, do it during the day — the evening lighting just isn’t sufficient for a decent video quality. 4) Fire alarms in the middle of the night. There have been three or four incidents where the fire alarm went off at night, waking everyone with an incredibly loud and terrifying sound — only for staff to later announce that it was a false alarm. 5) Incredibly slow elevators. For a hotel with this many rooms, there are only three elevators, and one is always out of service. On bad days, two elevators might be down, meaning you’ll wait over 10 minutes just to get one. Worse still, you’ll often have to share the elevator with cleaning staff or service carts, and of course, your floor won’t be their priority. 6) Lack of proper management. When cleaning the hallways, staff would often carelessly bump vacuum cleaners into room doors. One of the cleaners would even chat and talk on the phone while cleaning inside my room. It also seems like there are frequent communication issues among the hotel staff. ----- The good points: 1) Central location — lots of shops and restaurants nearby. 2) The hotel may suffer from poor management, but most front desk staff are friendly and helpful. 3) The overall facilities and services generally meet daily needs. ----- Final thoughts: If you’re visiting Sydney for a short trip, this hotel might be a convenient option. However, for a longer stay, certain aspects may become increasingly inconvenient. While it doesn’t quite meet five-star standards, it would be a solid option at a 3–4 star level. I sincerely hope the hotel takes a moment to re-evaluate what a “five-star” rating truly represents.
The beds are super comfortable, you really sleep very well. The location is optimal, very central and everything is within walking distance. The spa is also great, there is a sauna and a jacuzzi. The gym is also large and offers a lot of variety of equipment. For working, the rooms for 2 people are also well suited, there is a desk and a large living room table where you can work well. The only drawback: we were on the 20th floor and the connection was often not sufficient, we always only had one bar.
