We had a wonderful stay at the Sofitel Darling Harbour. Staff were attentive, the place was immaculate, facilities were excellent. The pool and rooms offer great views. Beds were comfy. Wifi fast. Bathrooms spacious. Buffet breakfast was yummy - so much good food to choose from. The light rail stop over the road was very convenient (only $1 per trip), and you could easily walk into the city, Circular Quay, etc. Everything I could have hoped for, for my little family getaway.
A short 2 day getaway that exceeded our expectations. ALL loyalty status has its privileges and are all well met here. Stunning Club Lounge, and the staff are all so well attuned to the art of service. Grace was tireless, Tristan is the Front Office Manager who is responsible for the proficient way this lounge is run. The rooms have amazing outlooks across whichever side of Sydney that you are facing. Alessandro in Lumiere on 35 was brilliant. Overall highly recommend this property for a special getaway.
Had a 2 night stay while in Sydney for business. A great view at night of the city lights from my room & the bar on level 35. My room was spacious & had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Big comfy bed made for a good nights sleep, the shower had strong water pressure & I made good use of the coffee machine & pods. Good variety of food on offer at breakfast. The staff were friendly, efficient & very accommodating when I required some assistance. The light rail stop across the road made for easy access to the city.
I enjoyed my 4-night stay very much. Spacious and quiet roomcwith comfortable bed to guarantee a good night of sleep. Enjoyed the beautiful view of the harbour on the high floor while working from the hotel. Great gym facilities with nice view too. I also appreciated the early check in upon arrival from an overnight flight.
The receptionist guy was incredibly welcoming and provided excellent service. Our room was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. However, our experience at Atelier on level 1 for dinner was disappointing. I attempted to use my Accor membership for dinner benefits, but when I mentioned this to the short, middle-aged server, her demeanor changed completely. She became unfriendly and offered poor service, never checking on our meal and making us feel unwelcome. This is not the level of service I would expect from a 5-star hotel. Additionally, after we checked out, we needed a quiet space for a work meeting. Despite the meeting room being empty, open, and unbooked, the female French staff member there refused to let us use it even for a few minutes. Even though, the receptionist allowed us to use it temporarily. This lack of flexibility left us with a poor impression. Overall: Good but definitely need to hire more professional staff.
