Why you'll love Sydney Cidery

  • Contemporary, urban-style craft bar.
  • Spacious terrace overlooking World Square.
  • Extensive list of local and imported wines.

The Cidery Bar & Kitchen has relaunched itself as a contemporary, urban-style craft bar, in Sydney’s popular World Square precinct. Emulating an urban distressed appearance, oak and copper tones, and herringbone flooring, the bar is also constructed from recycled brass pipes and bridge timbers. Tall, solid tables and stools stand before the bar, while leather tub chairs with copper detailing and industrial-style tables and light fixtures are spread throughout. The bar opens up into a very airy and spacious terrace overlooking World Square, creating a cosy nightspot, nestled with tables, bar stools, heaters and large pillars that enclose the area. The Cidery Bar & Kitchen showcases Sydney Brewery’s range on tap, from Sydney Cider, Agave Ginger Cider, Paddo Ale, Potts Point Porter, and Lovedale Larger - the winner of the Australian International Beer Award 2014. Serving a brand new cocktail menu, using Sydney Cider, brewed in-house, and the latest flavour Manly Perry Cider, in some new concoctions, with many of the classic and favourites still available for regular patrons. An extensive list of local and imported wines, ciders and craft beers are also available to taste. The chefs have also put together a delicious menu to match the new array of wines and ciders. The Cidery Bar & Kitchen is not available for exclusive bookings on Friday evenings.

Let’s start with the positive: venue looks great comfortable chairs great set up and location ideal. Lady at bar was good. Wine was good My burger was a burger - good and chips That’s where I leave it. I guess this place is better to just serve drinks, not food. We got tiger prawns to share they was the worst prawns I tasted, not even fresh, stale as hell. Seems like they got it from coles in the bags and left it thawed and just put it on some ice to chill and serve. Was not nice. We did not eat it. One was enough🤢, pizza was not fully cooked through doughy, best thing on it was mushrooms, I think it was the truffle one.. Burger and chips and a red wine.‘I’ll tell ya burger and chips was decent. I ate it all. Nothing special. Over roll I wouldn’t pay more than $20 for each of those meals. I would just go to get drinks not eat there. We did not ask for money back, but waited to see if anyone would come clear it to tell them. But they would have seen how much we left on the plate. It would be nice to have staff that cared in the service and take note more. Also communicate English better. This is where business will fail because no one cares anymore. Stick to drink here. Last pic of pizza and prawns left. ( not eaten)

Slipped into for a quick drink 🍸 lovely warm setup tucked away in the middle of the city. Big menu classic choices like burgers and pizza 🍕 they had warm muddled cider that we had to try. The perfect drink for a cold night.

Amazing semi-elegant stylish bar nestled between Rydges Hotel and World Square complex. $6 signature ciders for happy hours until 6pm well worth heading to right after work (explains why it gets popular before then). Otherwise there is surprisingly ample space in the terrace for Thursday and Friday nights. Staff extremely helpful and flexible in rearranging furniture to form bigger groups. So for you cider lovers, this may be just what you're after!

It has the cozy vibe of a bar and the friendly atmosphere of a pub, this place serves up a variety of cocktails, beers, wines, and an extensive cider selection. The dim lighting and soft jazz tunes really set the mood for a chill evening. Would highly recommend this gem. Our spicy margaritas were amazing! I think Allan was the bartender's name.
