City dwellers and urbanites finally have a place that they can call their ‘local’. Where cafe-styled food is a mix of grab-togo, order from the counter and limited à la carte by day, it becomes bar-centric bistrostyle table service, shared plates and drinks by night. All-day-dining come together in a refined cafe-bistro look and feel. Lush tropical planters and dark greenery help bring a ‘local touch’ to its ambiance The ambience is a contrast of natural light and airy, to darken wood, steel and brass overtones. Quality, a bit of glamour and city sophistication inspire the branding and interior details.

Nights out are rare for my husband and I but we finally had the chance to go out. We had a lot of plans sorted into a well timed schedule to make the most of our time. We even had the Sebel message us and ask for our arrival time the day before. We arrived at the Sebel to be told our room needed to be inspected and would be 10min or so which was no problem at all. We had to move the car and park it in the parking space anyway. We did so and then tried the check in again to be told it would be about 10min wait so we waited on the couches. 10minutes later we asked another staff member and was told it would be a 10-15min wait as the room needed to be inspected. By 245pm we asked a 3rd staff member who tried to tell us it would be 10-15min wait. This is when we mentioned the last 45min of wait time and how we had plans. We were kindly upgraded and given some free drink vouchers for the inconvenience. That was great because we planned to have a drink or 2 before heading out to dinner. The room was neat and clean although a little outdated. The Airconditioning didnt seem to want to drop below 24 but was otherwise perfectly fine. We headed down for drinks and were told the cocktail menu was being updated but they could definitely accommodate cocktails with the drink vouchers. Then we were asked what cocktail we wanted and told they didnt know what that was (fruit tingle). So I opted for the moscato where we were then told only a couple of items were covered by the drinks vouchers (not the moscato). Then we were asked after we received our drink for the voucher number and then 3 minutes later asked for our accord status level and card number. We had enough and so went out for the night and had an amazing time. We indulged in a small Cadbury chocolate and 3 pack of Ferrero Roche's because the room cost sheet said they were a reasonable $4.50 each. In the morning we went down to the breakfast and the table across from us received the incorrect breakfast twice, one of which was our breakfast. When we checked out they tried to charge us $14 for the chocolates. All in all Spend your money elsewhere the service was sub par, the management was poor and everything else was average.
Had a quick overnight stay for work so didn't get to explore the area around the hotel. There isn't a driveway you can pull your car into but it was easy to park in the hotel carpark. Check in was easy with friendly staff and my room was upgraded which was lovely. The apartment was comfortable with lots of room. The pillows were great but the quilt was a bit thin so some extra blankets would have been great. Check out was quick and simple.
Stayed for 10 days in a one bedroom apartment. Was happy with check in, apartment size and condition. WiFi good also. Disappointed with breakfast offering and feel this should be better detailed at time of booking. Gym and pool very small
Rooms a bit tired. We stayed in an interconnecting room / 2 bedroom apartment. First room needed to be properly cleaned and could tell it hadn’t been properly done in months. Dust all around the skirtings around the room, tv cabinet and surfaces dusty. Asked reception if cleaners could come back as we had a toddler and is in to every nook and cranny. Came back and just did a couple of spots so told reception again and they brought back cleaners again. However we weren’t happy with the level of cleanliness after paying the rate we did so we were moved to a different room. New Room was much cleaner however Air con didn’t work properly in the main room so we were way too hot and was 30deg outside! Didn’t bother saying anything as we had already been moved and didn’t want to move again. Pros of our booking were the staff were all super friendly and lovely to deal with. The Croft restaurant on site has delicious food and the staff there were also amazing and friendly. Pool was great and was fantastic they had a small heated pool for our toddler. Amazing location with great access to shopping, river foot bridges and botanical gardens. Although the rooms are tired, they are spacious. However due to the rate we paid for the rooms we received and the cleanliness I wouldn’t stay again. I’ve stayed at many Sebel’s before and sorry to say the rooms weren’t up to scratch.
My experience at this hotel was terrible. I booked through Agoda and was instructed to collect my key from a nearby convenience store. To my dismay, I was given the wrong room type. Instead of a one-bedroom apartment, I was allocated a studio room. The room was also furnished with Ikea furniture, including a computer desk. It seemed like someone had been living there long-term and was subletting it. To top it off, the room was so dusty that it triggered a severe allergy reaction, forcing me to leave and find another accommodation. For $400 a night, this place is truly awful.
