One of the best spots in South East Queensland to grab a steak. In terms of a consistency this place rates highly; I think the only average steak I experienced here was when there was a broncos and lions game on the same night, so the pub was flat strapped. Given it's not a huge establishment, I'd suggest to book.
Without a doubt, Brisbane's finest steak! Succulent, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Each bite was a culinary journey, leaving me thoroughly satisfied. The taste exceeded all expectations, and the portion was ample. A must-try for anyone seeking the ultimate steak experience in Brisbane!
The quality at Morrisons has declined the last couple of times we have visited. Both steaks received were overcooked. The picture attached was meant to be medium rare. Providing feedback at the table to staff also doesn't seem to make a difference. I did however state that we would continue to eat what we could have, however still no apology from the staff member we advised (something as simple as, apologies, it is disappointing that this did not meet standards would have been appropriate/appreciated). The staff member however just stood there stunned. There was one other staff member who was cheery who I want to shout out and I enjoyed the honey baked brie starter. Considering it was a relatively quiet Wednesday night, this visit was disappointing to say the least and unlikely to be returning anytime soon
This is the third time back in two years, namely as our previous visits after COVID were disappointing. We arrived our drink order was taken we asked to order our entree’s and the waiter said oh you would like table service, where has service gone when paying prices associated with price ?That surprised us as it’s not like we were paying for pub grub. Oysters were amazing. When we ordered our steak the aged steak was removed from the menu which is why we went. We were asked what salads we wanted which was also the normal but coleslaw, garden and Caesar salad were our choices,,(pub grub) previously they had walnut salad, Caesar and garden salad. So although this is a small thing all the little things start to build a picture. The steaks came and everything was crammed into to what appears to be much smaller plates. My partners steak was sub par, mine was good but again the actual quality of the steak was not up to standard. If we were in a pub we would be happy with the quality of the food, but when you go to the Morrison you are expecting to pay for “wow”. I guess for us we will go now only to the Norman or Caxton. Which is a shame.
My favourite go to steak restaurant. Have been coming here for more than 10 years, the quality is fantastic. Tender steaks with delicious sauces (my favourite is the mushroom sauce). The side salads is also very tasted. Great restaurant layout, very clean. The staff are very kind and attentive. Large area, they also cater for engagement parties. High recommended!
