14 Bridge St, Reynella SA 5161, Australia
Function Venue
•St Francis Winery Resort, Reynella is the site of the first grapevine plantings in South Australia; one can expect to find picturesque vistas, historic buildings, excellent food and plenty of good drinking around those parts. Frequently the host of weddings and conferences, the spaces available easily transform depending on the needs of the event. With countless photo opportunities outside and plenty of scope for lavish dinners or cocktail parties inside, St Francis Winery Resort has hosted golden wedding anniversaries, meetings, as well as birthdays.
This space connects with the Main vines function room, it is usually the dance floor area but can be hired as a space of its own for any small event or meeting area. This space can hold 34 people seated.
The Main vines function room is our most desired event space which usually has a capacity of up to 100 guests. It has its own outside pergola area attached which can allow for a lot more guests in our warmer months.
The Governor Phillip function room is next door to the Main Vines function area and is a great space for conferences, meetings, birthday events, and trade shows. It has its own private bar in the entry area plus its own amenities. This room...
Lakeview function is one of our small rooms amongst the other space and it can accommodate 24 people seated. This space is elegant and versatile as other spaces can be the host of weddings and conferences events, the spaces available easily...
Checking in is available up to 11pm. Rooms were lovely, clean & neat. The bed was very comfortable. There's a heated pool, gaming room, restaurant & a small bar. Restaurant is very good - great menu & food. Plenty of parking. It's a little bit noisy in the evening once any private functions end, with people returning to their rooms, but nothing too bad.
Paid more for a room with a spa and it didn't even work. Also asked for a room on ground level due to recently having surgery, and they couldn't accommodate. Upon arrival, we also had to give bond, either $1 on credit card (who has these now days, they're expensive) or $200 cash. Why do we have to pay for a room that we've already paid for. Then when we checked out and asked for a little reimbursement due to the spa not working (main reason we booked that room), they said they could only give us a drink because we booked through a third party?? Point of the review, DONT STAY HERE, NOT WORTH IT
Had a great night for Drag Bingo. If you have never been to one give it a go. So much fun. Did not stay over at the hotel but I'm going to book a spa room next time.
Checking in- thou I had emailed the week before to change to an upstairs room and they’d said they had noted it on our booking, there was no notes on file, so stuck in darkest ground floor room. Tried checking out 7:55am… and was rudely snapped at and was told we needed to wait 5 mins. I would have been happy to wait, but rudeness was not appreciated.
Unsure why this place has VERY bad reviews. This is the cheapest hotel in Adelaide, you need to expect standards according to the price, you are not getting a 5 star room/service for a 3 star price. If you want a fancy room go elsewhere and pay the premium for it! Staff were extremally friendly, rooms were reasonable. This business is perfectly acceptable for the price!
