Lovely hotel. The Atrium Bar is a perfect setting and the whole place is exceptionally clean. Perfect location on the waterfront and easy access to most places, e.g., city area and markets. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You have to pay for parking - $50 for concierge parking and $25 to park yourself. Would definitely stay again.

We had a city facing room which was fine. On each floor there was a corner lounge overlooking the harbour which was a great feature. Pool was fine. Just one night for us and overall would stay again. I’d suggest an upgrade to the gym equipment. Bit cheap and out of date. Service was fine but when guests arrive and there’s three staff, you’re the only guests checking in, and none look up, I never find that a great welcome. Suggestion is, look up, greet, and say I’ll be with you in a moment. The little things make a difference.

Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart is just an excellent hotel. I have been staying in hotels most of my working life, around Australia and some of the world. The thing I love about HGC is the "old school" approach. Polite service people, super clean, lots of freebies and extras, great food, nice views. Everything you expect from an establishment of this kind is there. From the free filtered water coolers on every floor, to the complimentary bikes, you just feel like you are staying in a place that understands the business they are in. When my work sends me to Hobart, this is where I stay every time.

Enjoyed my stay. Location is great. My room was very comfortable, clean, spacious and harbour views were beautiful during the day and night time. Enjoyed relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening. Staff were welcoming and helpful. I would stay again.

It is a Grand place to stay. Hobart Central for walks, marine adventures and Seafood restaurants. Their restaurant is quite a good place to eat as well. Enjoy pre dinner drinks in their Atrium area. Pool and gym inclusive. As was breakfast.
