The Matthew Flinders Hotel offers state of the art facilities for all function types. With capacity to host 300 guests seated or 700 guests for a stand up cocktail party, The Longitude Room comes equipped with an extensive private bar, 2 stage areas with 2 dancefloors, full audio visual set-up, private entry point and outdoor smoking area. The room can be sectioned with a soundproof wall to provide you with a more intimate space (pictured) for 140 guests seated and 400 guests standing, with one dance floor and stage and a shared smoking area with the Victory Room.
Divide The Longitude Room in half with a soundproof wall and you have The Victory Room, perfect for all social events including birthdays, networking nights, sporting club dinners, just to name a few! Facilities include large dance floor and raised stage area for your band or DJ, fully stocked bar, private bathrooms, exclusive entry point and outdoor smoking area. The Victory Room can accommodate 120 guests seated and 300 guests for a stand-up cocktail event.

This place has become my weekly go-to for a reason — and Charli, the accommodation manager, is definitely one of them. She’s absolutely lovely, and genuinely so — none of that fake customer service BS you get elsewhere. She goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and ensure you’ve got everything you need. The little touches are seriously appreciated — like the Biscoffs to have with a cuppa, the folder with a proper menu (HUGE variety of delicious food) and handy local info for travellers but most importantly, hairdryers that actually dry your hair not just whisper on it! The rooms are spotlessly clean, with insanely soft mattresses and pillows you’d actually choose to sleep on. They’ve just got this calm vibe that makes me relax as soon as I walk in. Honestly, I have zero complaints. Oh, and a little tip — book directly! You’ll get better rates and a free brekky pack.
It used to be a good affordable place to bring the kids and have a good meal. Now they've gotten rid of the nightly specials and when I asked they brought me a sheet saying their specials on a Wednesday night were Fillet Mignon for 45 or confit duck for 32. How much was the Fillet mignon without a special They've done a light Reno, slapped a coat of paint on and now the starter garlic bread is 10.5 with 2 extra for cheese. Rip off. If the kids weren't playing on the playground we would have left by now. Not coming back. It's a rip off for a pub trying to be fancy. They've lost a good thing and will loose customers
Exceptional service and family-friendly atmosphere! We visited on Jan 8th for a late lunch and had a fantastic experience. The venue is perfect for large groups with kids, but what really stood out was the staff. My daughter was playing the claw machine and the prize got stuck; the team took our details and actually followed up that same evening to let us know they’d retrieved it! Beyond the toy rescue, the food and drink service was attentive and accommodating throughout our meal. It’s rare to find a place that balances great service with such a kid-friendly environment. We’ll definitely be back.
Amazing set up of machines . Always updating. Love the variety of games . The bar staff are awesome and very hospitable . I will be back :)
Bowling alley no longer available! Advertisement online and at venue still promoting bowling is extremely misleading. (Was very frustrating as a parent to small children explaining there's no bowling) However this is still a great pub with wonderful atmosphere, great meals, fast service and friendly staff. Excellent option to choose how many pieces of garlic bread and kids nuggets you order. Kids playground is good and arcade games fun. Minimum price to play starts at $2.50, no $1 machines in sight at the moment.
