Really impressed by the place. I've been working nearby and the first time I wondered inside. The beer selection is very interesting. Loved watermelon and cucumber flavoured beers. The vibe is also really nice and the staff are extremely friendly.
From a casual lunch perspective, this placed offered sensational pizzas topped with quality and plentiful ingredients, partnered with fresh & tasty salad offerings (the sort of lunch where no food is left behind). It was fairly priced (three pizzas, one salad, & drinks which were appropriate for five diners came in at around $125). Service was quick & efficient with self-serve water (still & sparkling options are available although the sparkling option may need a slight tweak). The attraction of being a brewery aside, not much more needs to be said about the food, go to this place for pizza & salad and you will not be disappointed!
Independent beer label that opened their taproom in 2023 so you can crack a cold one with some mates over some delicious wood-fired pizzas AND make a difference through their partnership with SecondBite - for every 4-pack or pint of beer purchased, they provide a meal to someone in need! We tried: 🍕 Francesca Pizza 🍕 Tony Pizza 🍟 Shoestring Fries w/ Aioli 🍺 Lager 🍺 XPA 🍹 Local Spiked Mango Ice Tea Seltzer 🍹 Local Spiked Peach Ice Tea Seltzer The interior of this place was so light and open and was such a vibe! We loved the beers - the lager was crisp and smooth, while their xpa had delicious fruity undertones. They also do vodka spiked seltzers, which were dangerously easy to drink, their mango one was SO GOOD 🤤 The Francesca pizza came topped with mozzarella, mushrooms, thyme, white truffle oil and parmesan. The crust was nice and fluffy and the flavours were fragrant and cheesy, but the truffle taste could be stronger. The Tony was topped with napoli, pepperoni, parmesan and provolone - this one was our fave! The pizza had a nice textural bite to it, the pepperoni was super flavoursome and the provolone provided a super creamy and cheesy touch! Their fries were suuuper crunchy and well salted, couldn’t get enough of those!
📍@localbrewingau_taproom, Clifton Hill We have recently visited this true hidden gem called Local Brewing Co. Taproom in Clifton Hill 😎 They have incredible beers and we got the chance to try a few with our top 3 favourites being the hazy nectarine pale, passion guava sour and oatmeal stout - you can order the flight and try 4 different beers if you can't decide on only one 🍻 Their pizzas are also delicious and 100% worth a try, another must order is their sweet potato wedges with lime salt and citrus aioli - it was absolute perfection 😍 What we ordered: 🍠 Sweet Potato Wedges $15 🌶️ Sofia Pizza $27 🧀 Luigi Pizza $29
Pizza n' Beer. This is a winning combo and @localbrewingau_taproom they have excellent food & some great beers in Clifton Hill. I shared a paddle of beers, an IPA & a Cinnamon Pastry Stout. Perfect for the festive season. There's a good range of Local Brewing beers on tap and a small number of other craft brews on tap. And a cool range of cocktails and wine. In the morning, this place turns into a coffee shop. The pizzas are good. All made on site, w a delicious base cooked in what tasted like a wood fired oven. My meat based pizza was fantastic, and the plant based pizza disappeared before my eyes. This taproom opened in May 2023 its spotlessly clean inside. The space is light and bright w some old-school tunes banging out. This place partners with Second Bite Charity, providing a meal for every 4 pack or pint sold to someone in need. How awesome is that? This place is definitely worth a visit. Thanks for having me. Cheers.
