Restaurant
•Nestled amongst Collingwood's eclectic Smith Street, Charma honours the tradition, with a menu that combines flavours and influence from some of Asia’s finest – including China, Northern Thailand and Vietnam. The result is an experience full of twists and turns – salty, sweet, fresh, hot, mellow, cool, comforting – but always delicious. In true traveller’s style, Charma houses a beer garden out back, perfect for unwinding after whatever path you’ve tread. Sister restaurant of Smith Street staple, Bowl Bowl, Charma pairs a range of delicious beers and traditional Asian liqueurs with either a set or a la carte menu. Bookings, including corporate functions, are welcome with a range of private spaces available. Inspired by the famous tastes of Sichuan cuisine, Bowl Bowl combines the best of China’s southwest with international flavours that will blow your mind and pop the buttons on your pants. Our Asian-style menu is as colourful as our Smith Street address and caters to a range of tastes. From dumplings that will make you question the meaning of life, to street food that will make you feel like you're in the hustle-and-bustle of China's markets — every dish is an experience we want you to savour.

I dined at this restaurant that epitomizes culinary excellence. The dumplings were perfectly crafted, bursting with flavor. The fried rice was impeccably balanced and among the best I've tasted. The chili fried chicken was crispy, tender, and perfectly spiced. Overall, an extraordinary dining experience with out-of-this-world taste.
Casual place for absolutely delicious food! Always try and visit here when I’m in the area. Cute garden out the back as well. If you like spicy and tasty food highly recommend. I’ve been here quite a few times and would recommend all the dishes! Everything looks so good it’s hard to choose what to eat! Recommend to bring your friends so you can order lots of different things!
Amazing Chinese restaurant, the best that we did in Melbourne at yet ! The food was really delicious and lots of choice. If you don’t want to stay in the CBD of Melbourne and discover a new place it’s perfect
It was amazing! The food is fantastic, one of the tastiest I’ve tried in Melbourne. And the staff is super nice, I felt like in their old friend. Very warm atmosphere!
I randomly googled dumplings as my 5 & 3yr old love them. We were in the Smith St area so stopped here. Parking during the week in street is great 2hr. Tram 86 can get you from the city or Bundoora to the restaurant. The dumplings are cooked fresh and absolutely amazing. We go to a lot a lot of chinese dim sum but this place is 🤤🥹😮💨 The also make Sichuan Chilli Oil 江湖魂·川菜30年 手 工 辣 椒 油 The staff are friendly authentic happy and polite.
