Very good to learn about the Eureka Stockade and the stories surrounding the events. Lots of great artifacts, imagery and articles that tell of the historic event. We spent about 2 hours here, including inside the museum and also walking around the memorials outside. Kids would probably get bored quickly.
It was a small but beautiful museum showing different types of collection. It was surrounded by a huge park where children can play and families can have their picnics. There was an activity where children could create their own flags. The staff was polite. It also had cafe and washrooms. What else does one need? Overall it was a good experience.
Such a wonderful place to learn about the Gold rush. Very detailed in all things about the Eureka era. Staff were also super friendly.
A very friendly and knowledgeable staff greeted us as we entered the museum. The entry fee is reasonable and was good all day for in and outs, so a family could easily come and spend the day at the parklands, allowing their children to play on the playgrounds or go to the swimming pool and then come back to the museum. The displays are very informative and explain a day and time that is unfamiliar to many of us. In addition, there is a small Cafe that has delicious lunch or tea time offerings and wonderful coffee. How expensive was our lunch?
Worth going to be able to experience history that shaped a nation. Thought provoking, interactive information. Staff very helpful
