Conveniently located on Flinders Lane, just 200m from Flinders Street Railway Station and surrounded by tram routes along Elizabeth, Swanston, and Collins Streets, it provides easy accessibility for all visitors. Our versatile spaces accommodate a variety of needs, from hybrid meetings and conferences to workshops, training sessions, business gatherings, classes, professional development, and presentations. Since 1987, Ross House has stood as Melbourne's only self-managed and community-owned not-for-profit building, serving as a cornerstone of the city's social justice and environmental community. Our time here doing the workshop was wonderful, thank you very much, Ross House, for the service. The space was very cozy, clean, and pleasant. Thank you!
Spent the afternoon here a couple of weeks ago at a Saturday Japanese stitchery class. Which I thoroughly enjoyed. There is a decent elevator to the fourth floor where my class was held, and the whole premises looked clean and well maintained. Good toilets on each floor, and also kitchens for the classes at need. The north facing classroom we used had excellent lighting and space and could have easily held twice as many students (we had 12 plus the instructor). From the student perspective, I would recommend these facilities to anyone needing standard classroom accomodations in the CBD.
It's an old building that needs a lot of love, but then so do the not for profits that make Ross House home. If you're ever up for donating, look at Ross House to see what your heart is open for.
Good convenient place for Not For Profit organisations to meet and collaborate. Access and entry into the building is a little inconvenient but understandably so. Plenty of food and drink options around, if those meetings tip over
Nice place for meet up, desks, chairs and AV equipment. Only issue, access to the building is via swipe key, which is not the best if you have people coming in over a long span of time...
