There are a few steps involved in booking an event at Slices Doreen and the VenueNow team are here to do the heavy lifting for you.

Firstly, contact the VenueNow team by submitting an enquiry or speaking to one of our team members online or over the phone. We'll need to collect a few details from you, such as your:

- Event type

- Number of people attending

- Preferred event date & time (and if this is flexible)

- Budget (per person or total)

- Room layout

- Food and beverage / catering requirements

- Any other requirements

Once we've gathered these details, the VenueNow team will contact the team at Slices Doreen to check:

1) Can they host the event on your preferred date / time? If not, what are some alternate dates / times?

2) What is the estimated cost based on your event requirements?

This process tends to take around 1 business day on average to receive a response from the venue. Once we've received a response, the VenueNow team will contact you as soon as possible.

If you're happy with the proposed price and dates / times, the VenueNow team will connect you with Slices Doreen to finalise your booking (which may include a site visit if you choose to do so).

VenueNow provides this service free of charge to you as we are paid a small fee by Slices Doreen if you book via us.

Slices Restaurant is home to contemporary Italian and Australian cuisine, boutique wines, spirits and specialty cocktails. Its extensive menu is created using only the freshest and finest ingredients. 

The starters menu offers a range of dishes including calamari, bruschetta, arancini and garlic bread. The main course menu offers a range of traditional pasta dishes, pizza and risotto. There is also a great selection of chicken, beef, lamb and fish dishes to choose from, while the dessert menu offers a mouth-watering range of desserts including gelato, tiramisu, cake and pannacotta.

Some of the restaurant's popular dishes include:

-King Tiger Prawns: Creamy garlic prawns, served on a bed of basmati rice and mixed salad.

-Eye Fillet (GF): Gippsland grass-fed eye fillet, roasted sweet potato, broccolini and red wine jus. 

-Penne Bolognese: Bolognese sauce, basil, and parmesan cheese.

-Minestrone: Soup Homemade soup served with toasted sourdough.

-Bruschetta: Toasted sourdough, tomatoes, Spanish onion, basil pesto, bocconcini, shaved parmesan, drizzled with balsamic vinegar. 

-Ricotta Gnocchi Handmade ricotta gnocchi, tomato sugo, basil, parsley, garlic and rosemary croutons, and bocconcini.

-Salt and Pepper: Calamari Served with fat chips, rocket salad with lemon pesto dressing.

Must-try wood fire pizzas include:  

-Tropicana Pizza Olive oil, mozzarella, smoked ham, cherry tomatoes, pineapple, rocket, parmesan.

-Niecy and Spicy Pizza: Napoli, mozzarella, hot salami, roasted capsicum, spring onion, feta, oregano, chilli flakes, semi-dried tomatoes.

-Vegetarian Pizza: Napoli sauce, mushrooms, roasted capsicum, onion, olives and vegan cheese.

The restaurant also offers vegetarian and vegan options such as:

-Broccolini (GF) (VE) Seasoned with roasted garlic and almonds.

-Roasted Beetroot (VE): Grilled broccolini, Spanish onion, cherry tomatoes, rocket, and honey mustard dressing.

The function room hire options at Slices Doreen include:

Private Room

The top-level is our premium private dining space. Finished with polished concrete floors, long communal tables and breathtaking panoramic views of Laurimar lake, it is the perfect space for intimate group dinners and special events. The space is suitable for up to 36 seated guests or 40 people standing at a cocktail event.

Lakeview

This unique space is located on level 1 and can accommodate up to 94 seated guests and 110 others are standing. The venue's breathtaking views of the lake will make your event an unforgettable experience with private bar features that you're free use as well!
